Sake Sushi Bar & Lounge

This is our go-to sushi place every time my wife and I visit family in the area. Their rolls and fried rice are better than the other local favorite, Tokyo. The prices seem a bit more reasonable as well. Our favorite rolls are Obi, Crunch, and Tuna Diablo. Their soft shell crab is pretty great too. Our only complaint is the terrible music they play...We could do without the top 40 pop. The service can be a bit off sometimes too, but usually it's great.

The sushi rolls were really good. A lot of the rolls here were a little spicy. The prices were about normal for a sushi joint.

Wanting to grab some Japanese after work, I looked to Yelp for some places to visit. Since I have visited Dylan's before, I choose Sake.  

We were pleasantly greeted at the door by a hostess and to a well situated room. There was ample seating available including booths, tables and a few stools at the bar.

The ambiance is an odd balance. I would call this a sushi lounge, but they have tv's. I think they either to get rid of the tv's or make the entire place a little more casual.

We arrived during happy hour and took full advantage of it. They have $1 off beers and some other discounts which help with happy hour cravings.

For an appetizer, I ordered a house salad. While lettuce is lettuce, the dressing was very good. I like my salads a little heavy on the lettuce on they didn't disappoint.

For an entree, I ordered the spider roll and some other hand roll. This clearly shows how impressed I was...They both tasted fine, but this is not the best sushi I have had.

Next time I am sweating for sashimi, I'll try the Tokyo Steakhouse instead.
