from July to October they have lots of local produce at their outdoor stand - better variety than farmers' markets, cheaper, and more convenient. Inside they have plenty of packaged goods like unpasteurized cider, jams, honey, and baked goods. The only reason I don't give it five stars is some of their produce is not labeled local which leaves customers to wonder where it came from. Hen Hawk Acres in Chaffee is another country store to visit. Great to see both places networking with local food producers.
Review Source:An annual participant in New York State's late March Maple Weekend, the Arcade Center Farm Pancake House is only open on weekends between 8am - 2pm during the months of February - April, coinciding with the annual maple sap harvest. Â For about $5, you get all the pancakes you can eat, and on the table are real butter and genuine maple syrup, made on-site in the adjacent sugar shack (which also features periodic demonstrations). The pancakes are thin and moist, like a thicker version of a crepe. We usually order them with sausage on the side for an extra few dollars, and the bottomless cup of coffee is better than you'd expect in a log cabin that's only open seasonally. This place has become an annual family tradition, and the sometimes long waits are worth it, as is the drive.
