Arnold's Family Restaurant

I love this place my wife's family gather here on occasions to eat and carry on. As all of my wife's family lives in that area, so it is very convenient for everyone to gather here. Their food is wonderful and their desserts are out of this world. And everyone that works here is so friendly you just can't find a better place.

For several years on my travels towards Jacksonville, NC I had always noticed this family restaurant with the multi-colored logo.  Today I decided to stop and have lunch here.

The restaurant has three sections:  The fast food counter, the ice cream counter, and the cafeteria style line for the "home cooked food".  

On this trip, the cafeteria line has chicken, pork, and a good variety of sides.  I chose the fried chicken, macaroni, rice & gravy with rolls and sweet tea.

Fried chicken had a nice crisp coating.  Mac & Cheese most likely was not a homemade item, nor was the gravy for the rice.  Still it all tasted pretty good and for a price of $7.15 (inc. tax) it was a good value.

If you are traveling off of I 40 towards Jacksonville, Arnold's is going to be one of only a few non fast food restaurant choices,  I am sure it is a regular eatery for the local residents.
