My allergy friendly dinner was so fantastically good that I wrote it down in my phone to remember what it was!! I had a roasted vegetable chile relleno with a quinoa tamale. Red sauce, goat cheese, practically licked my plate. Beautiful presentation, good service, lovely meal.

Pompous server who said at the beginning of breakfast: "What can I get you besides coffee?"  Neither of us drink coffee.  He went on to scoff at me when I paused when he asked how I wanted the eggs cooked on the huevos rancheros.  It was just a weird experience, with bathrobe-wearing new agers alongside couples who had clearly just had a night of romance behind them.  Everyone was glassy eyed and weird acting.  Onto the food: The breakfast burrito was just a big glorified bunch of breakfast potatoes in a tortilla (bleh), and the huevos was unnecessarily spicy and salsa'd without the flavor.  Avoid eating at this overpriced place.  Go up to Red Mountain cafe instead.  Note: We LOVED the mineral springs but would recommend that you avoid the restaurant.  They know they have a captive audience.

We love Ojo Caliente because of the waters.  However, the biggest plus is the restaurant.  Last year we ate in the wine bar and enjoyed appetizers and wine.  Our experience motivate d us to make reservations this year.  I had the piñon glazed trout after the wonderful spinach salad.  My husband had the enchilada plate with the fried egg on top- both excellent!  Oh-and we had the Mexican pot stickers- black beans,  goat cheese and sour cream!  Excellent.  Service was slow but with great Malbec to drink, worth it!!  Breakfast was a special treat!  Picture a roasted poblano pepper seeded and split half and half on a bed of green chile and red sauce .  On top of the pepper were two links of bison sausage topped with scrambled eggs and cheese!  Fabulous!  And,  I think it was the best coffee around!!  Without the Artesian,  I doubt we would stay at ojo caliente for more than a few hours!

My hubby and I had lunch here while we were taking a break from the "waters" at Ojo Caliente.
Nice lunch fair...sandwiches, soups, burger- both veggie and beef, plus salads.
My grilled cheese with sundries tomatoes and pesto with the house salad was super...bread was crispy, cheese melted, hard to mess up a grilled cheese but it happens more often than not.  This was yummy
Hubby had the club wrap wi sweet potato fries and he wolfed it down....couldn't make it thru the fries-addictive but filling
My prickly pear lemonade was just sweet/tart enough to be refreshing

Love the pablano 'fries'! Rest of the menu is good, not great. Atmosphere is comfortable and wait staff is attentive. Good overall experience.

This is my second time visiting the Ojo Caliente hot springs and coming to the restaurant during my pool time. Can wear your spa robes here which makes it convenient in not needing to change back and forth into clothing to enjoy the hot pools and a lunch break.

Service seems slow and never get appetizers before the meal arrives...and this time I got appetizer after all food came. Waitress was nice, but that does not help when wanting to have an enjoyable leisurely lunch.

Food was very good: fish tacos for me and spinach salad with grilled chicken for my friend, along with tortilla soup, and finally the chips with guacamole and salsa.

Next time I go i will ask for appetizers and beverage first...and make a point that this is what I want....no more messing around!

service is pretty good--especially liked the barkeep Mr. Leatherer..

The food quality and taste is top-notch!!!  We ate there three times during our stay at Ojo Caliente Spa.  Everything was perfect.  Keep up the great work folks!

    Open one in Los Angeles!

Dinner here last night, breakfast this morning. Service was consistently good. Prices were high but they're the only game in town.

I had house made gnocchi in a mushroom cream sauce- they were excellent, it was a very rich dish (but I only got 6 measly pieces of gnocchi, really?).

Wine list was interesting, they had a '07 Bonny Doon Cigare Volant, which I haven't seen since I lived in San Jose and used to go to their Santa Cruz winery to buy it directly. At $60 it was double the list price, but that's OK on vaca and we were happy to see an old friend on the wine list.

Husband had chili seared scallops generous serving of 4, he said they were overwhelmed with the chili seasoning so the other flavors were lost.

Breakfast this morning was great, I had a tofu scrambler with spinach, salsa, side of potatoes - Their blueberry muffin my daughter had was very yummy too.  This was good but I'd probably only go back here if I was here for the waters.

The piñon glaze trout is beyond exceptional!
I am consistently impressed by the literally-outstanding food quality and service at Ojo Caliente's on-site restaurant.
I've been coming for years and always get the artichoke appetizer.

I've enjoyed very fresh salad, wonderful fried chili sticks with Asian sauce, and equally impressive desserts (especially the chocolate cigar), as well as impressive pizza sprinkled with pinion (available when the restaurant has limited offerings between 2:30 - 5).

Wine by the glass and bottle is very reasonable. If a wine by the bottle is also offered by the glass you may taste a small sample before committing to a bottle. I recommend the Ben Marco Malbec and their Zin offerings for a red.

I don't just come here for the Springs. I am also motivated to drive for the generously blazing pinion wood fires and the restaurant.

The Artesian Restaurant is in Ojo Caliente Spa.

We sat in the dining area of the Wine bar and ordered the following:

The Spinach Salad with baby spinach, black beans, avocado and toasted cumin vinaigrette.  A tasty salad and the cumin vinaigrette was delightful.

New Mexico Pizza with Asadero cheese and pinon pesto on a red chile crust.  Lovely pizza but the red chile crust wasn't as flavorful as we were expecting.  The asadero cheese makes for a very salty flavor but was delicious with the pinon pesto.  A very nice pizza.  The prices are high in relation to the portions, especially for the salad.

For desert, we tried the Cinnammon Creme Brulee.   Wonderful, with a  torched caramelized crust on the top.

I tried the Santa Fe Nut Brown Beer.  It was pleasant and had an attractive label on the bottle (which always makes a beer taste better).

The service was  VERY slow as the waiter was also the bartender for the whole restaurant!  He was trying hard, I'll give him that.  The kitchen seemed to be very slow getting orders out as well.  They need to work on those aspects of their service.

3 stars only due to slowness of service and pricing or the quantity/quality.
