My wife and I have a summer home in Hartsel, Co. and looked forward to trying the new Asian Fusion 20 miles up the road in Fairplay  We are fans of oriental food and generally have it at least twice a month. The renovated space is comfortable and the background music pleasant.
The overall experience unfortunately wasn't what we expected. We ordered two cups of Hot Sour soup ( $2.50 ea.) which was very good although quite a small portion, maybe 5 ounces. Our entrees were Mongolian beef $12.95 and Moo Shu Pork ($12.95), NO THEY don't sell pork at this Asian restaurant, beef chicken and tofu, so I opted for Moo Shu Beef?
No fried rice on the menu and a small potion of plain white rice was served with the Mongolian beef but none with my Moo Shu. The Mongolian Beef portion was small by lunch standards and my Moo Shu had scant beef with little to no taste.
Our pot of hot tea ($2.50) was about a quart container with one tea bag, no taste. The waitress brought a second tea bag which helped.
The bill came and not even a fortune cookie? No sauces or Soy on the tables nor were they offered?
$36 and a $6 gratuity, this will be a tough sell in our opinion.
Don't judge this restaurant by it's initial looks. The outside could use some professional signs, but the inside is stellar. The food is delish. They truly fuse all Asian food cultures by serving duck, Japanese udon noodle soup, pho, and classic Chinese dishes. Overall, it is a really nice addition to the short list of restaurants in Fairplay.
Review Source:Great new restaurant in Fairplay. Stop by on your way to Breck. Clean. Service accomodating, prompt & courteous. Fresh ingredients. Expansive menu w/ great looking appetizers.
Had hot & sour soup, wontons with hot chili oil, kung pao chicken and lo mein.
Everything you want in a small, family-owned Asian restaurant. I live up here and flipped-out when I saw it. Hope the locals support it.
This place is across the street from the bowling alley and next door to the Shell station.
