All other reviews very accuratee: good food, friendly staff, nice wine. Only criticism is that, because meals are prepared upon order, you can easily spend 2 hours there making one realize how uncomfortable the furniture is. Only tables/chairs available, no booth seating. Rush straight-back chairs get uncomfortable quickly and the tables are so small [for four] there is very little leg room and you are constantly shuffling things around on the table to make room for more.
Review Source:Wow, I must say, we were pleasantly surprised! After the aggravation of trying to get a reservation for a night/time that worked for us, we realized it was worth the wait!! It's a very small, unpretentious restaurant - maybe 8-10 4-top tables. The decor is nice, intimate, and you don't necessarily feel like you're in a strip mall. The entire staff was very friendly and provided excellent service! The food was AMAZING! So much better then we had expected! I had the duck special, in a red wine sauce. My duck was cooked perfectly (medium rare, as I requested), was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sauce was simply delicious! The side of vegetables was a great surprise - a great variety (carrots, green beans, onions, mushrooms, and potatoes) and all FRESH and well-prepared; none of the frozen, watery crap too many restaurants serve. My husband had the spaghetti with tomatoes, bacon, and onions. The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was a very flavorful smokey bacon. The house salad was delicious- fresh and tasty. Portion sizes were perfect, just enough with no leftovers. Overall, our expectations were pleasantly exceeded and we plan to return. I only knocked off 1 star because we felt the menu was a little limited and I'd like to see the duck on the permanent menu.
