I went to a queen of queens drag show here, I told my friend I would take pictures because I'm a photographer and she wanted some shots done. When I arrived no one knew what was going on, the show was disorganized and started late. They treated her and me rudely, even though they asked her to be there!
As a photographer, I tend to hand out cards to people I take pictures of as a courtesy factor. I gave my card to two drag queens, and their gay friend asked me if i wanted a drink at the bar. I said sure, and he slammed the door in my face. I have never been treated so rudely in my life! I know he isn't staff at the bar, which is why I'm still giving this two stars, but the drinks weren't worth their price. It was too dark to see.
The taco stand outside however, 1$ tacos were freakin' amazing!
I've been to this place about 3 times, every time I have a different experience. This place seems to have regulars and everyone is friendly. The drinks are hella cheap compared to anything in Hollywood (but then again it's in Lancaster). They have a back room with a pool table which is a good area to talk. They have one bathroom stall, which sucks for girls who pee frequently when out drinking.
For music they have DJs, playing hip-hop, old school and on a few occasions I've heard Mexican music a la Vicente Fernandez, Ramon Ayala, stuff like that. They've also played cumbias which is fun.
This is a place you want to go with a good group of friends. You can dance, act a fool. There is no pressure to dress up too much as this place plays to a more casual crowd. They have drag shows occaisionally which are always fun. The decor of the place is a little ridiculous, the only thing that makes it look like a gay bar are the pictures of dudes hugging and a rainbow flag. Otherwise its just another little bar in Lancaster. If you're in Lancaster on a Friday or Saturday night, check it out, no cover, cheap drinks, a good deal in my book.
