When we stopped at this place in a small town in the middle of nowhere, we weren't sure what to expect. Â Good food, LOTS of options, good soup and salad bar, good sized portions. Â My husband and I split the chicken & fish combo, and took food home ... Yes, we'd make the drive to go again!
Review Source:This was definitely the best place I went while working nearby for a week. Nice interior with polished wood floors and a nice bar and large dining area. The customer I was working with took me here while things with their network got sorted out. He is a regular, so greeted by name and lots of chit-chat afterwards.
I had the Turkey Bacon Melt with Badger fries. Good sandwich, I liked the fries even though they were a bit soft (the waiter said so ahead ahead of time).
I was a bit distracted by the pretty girl cooking - she seemed a bit out of place...
3/4 through a 1000 mile motorbike weekend, my wingman and I stopped by to grab dinner - not because we had heard about the place, but because at 5:30pm on a Sunday we thought everything would be closed before too long. Â
He's been observing an elimination diet, and has been refraining from all sorts of stuff. Â The Gluten-free selections catered to his needs - and they tasted good too.
I had been observing a pescetarian diet for fun, and decided to fall off the wagon to try their broasted chicken. Â It did not disappoint.
We both had a good run at the Salad bar prior to our entrees. Â The pickled herring was a treat.
We vowed to make it a destination in the future.
