While I am in total agreement with all the comments about the fabulous pastries breads and sandwiches I see no one has mentioned the incredible clam chowder available only on Fridays. I tried to convince the owner to enter last springs razor clam chowder contest but to no avail so if you want some you'll have to go and get it directly at the source.
Review Source:The building is cute and the coffee is good (wish i could say the same for the chai). However the place was CRAMPED on a Wednesday afternoon. The service was a bit curt, but understandable given how swamped with customers they were. All of this can be forgiven, however, in light of their heavenly butterscotch oatmeal scones! Soft, buttery, and pure magic!
Review Source:Wonderfully fresh, carefully baked breads and assortment of other fresh baked goodies. Â What a terrific breakfast and lunch stop on the penninsula. It's a must do for us everytime we are on the penninsula. Â The counter service is friendly and efficient. Â Sandwiches are wonderful, too! Â Great coffee, too. Â I often get items to go for later in the day.
Review Source:If you come to the Peninsula, and you don't go all the way to Nahcotta and Oysterville, you are missing the point. Â
While in Nahcotta, make sure to stop at Bailey's for possibly the best breakfast / bakery / coffee experience ever.
In an area where you're  hard pressed to find good eats, this is a godsend.
I think it's great they only take cash. Â This is real food at its best. Â Totally unpretentious.
The pastries are excellent - perfect buttermilk scones made with fresh seasonal fruit. Â I'm a massive scone fan, and these are perfect in every way. Â It makes a typical coffeshop's scone look like a rock wrapped in cardboard.
They have other stuff besides scones of course, and I was impressed by how much variety they have, particularly in baked goods and fresh bread, considering the small population in the area.
Sit on the front porch of a victorian era building that's shared with the local post office and watch the locals stop in for mail, food, and a hello smile. Â Listen to the gulls call and smell the salt water from the bay behind the building ... heaven.
My wife and I are spending three weeks Ocean Park. We are starting to explore the various restaurants in the area and came across Bailey's. We were the great results couldn't agree more. My wife got the grilled cheese sandwich and I had the tuna special. Both were excellent. This seems to be a place for locals meet and greet and go home with a tummy full of great food. Make sure to save room for dessert. Definitely worth the stop if you're on the peninsula!
Review Source:Bailey's makes really great breads and pastries, but I can't give them more than 3 stars because they only take cash. We forgot about this and had to walk out and she said she'd hold our stuff, but I knew we weren't coming back. If you're not going to get with the times and take cards (which, by the way, you can get a stupid square reader for free these days), then you need to at least have an ATM available.
Review Source:We stopped at Bailey's Bakery and Cafe after driving through Oysterville! Â Cute little shop with colorful artwork on display. Â I had the blueberry coffee crumble and my friend had the pecan pie. Â I liked what I ordered, but after I tasted my friend's pecan pie, I really wished I had gotten that. Â Both desserts were tasty without being overly sweet! Â If I am ever in the area, I will be sure to stop by again!
Review Source:The absolute best peach pie I ever had. Â I had to get a whole one the next morning before heading home to Seattle. Â When I went to get my pie, there was a line of people getting scones that had just come out of the oven... so I nabbed a couple for myself... again, some of the best scones I'd ever had... if for nothing else, I would come back to the long beach area, just to have the baked good these fine folks make. Â Truly a drool fest! Â I salivate even thinking about it.
Review Source:Went to this place two summers back and still remember how good the food was. I went for a grilled cheese sandwich expecting the usual and ended up with the best grilled cheese sandwich of my life. Three different cheeses, and slices of avocado filled the bread that was baked fresh in this little bakery.
This small and busy  place was featured in several travel magazines includet SUNSET magazine. And if I remember correctly at the time, they mentioned the owner was a well known female chef formerly of Seattle. Ahh! Hah! Yep explains the quality of the food there. My friends ordered tuna salad and raved about it. Here in what seemed the middle of nowhere, we found this gem of an eatery.
I am planning a trip to go back down to Long Beach and on the way I plan to go back and eat there again. I am drooling about it already. Oh yeah... be sure to buy some baked goods for your trip back home and then some.
Found this place in a local business listing. Â I wouldn't have found it at all if I hadn't seen it there. Â Nahcotta is a small town past Ocean Park. Â All I saw there was this place, the Post Office that's part of the same building, and a coffee drive-thru next door to it.
We had a light breakfast here of foccacia bread with various meats and cheese baked on top. Â I also got a mocha breve here that was pretty decent. Â The foccacia is some of the best I've had. Â I also tasted one of the samples of cranberry pecan bread. Â Everything was very tasty, and the ladies there were super friendly and very pleasant. Â Excellent service, good drink selection.
