Just a note to let everyone know Ballesteros is now closed

Terrible food. Terrible service. I've ate at restaurants all over the world and have had some pretty bad experiences, but this place tops them all. I got two beef tacos and rice. Pretty hard to mess that up, right? Wrong. I couldn't even eat them. I ate some of one of the tacos and it left the worst taste in my mouth ever! Don't go here. I know the options in this area are few, but you can do better.

Considering this is like one of the only places to get food in Niland it wasn't too bad at all. The place was so cool inside - a much needed getaway after roaming around the 122 degree weather by the Salton Sea. I don't think a Corona has ever tasted as good as it did here.

I had a chicken torta. It was good, I ate the whole thing. I wish it had more avocado, but then again there's never enough avocado to satisfy me... ever haha. Everything was very simple and I think my boyfriend was a little perplexed with how small the "big" burger was. What I really liked about this place was that they put beans and sprinkled cheese on their chips. It was like eating half finished nachos or something. Yums.

The lady that served us was awesome. She kept the chips coming and when I asked for limes she brought out a whole plate of them. She was really great. Quick, cheap food and cold beers to escape the heat of the desert. It's a win in my opinion!
