this place has nasty, rude, B***** for bartenders. no seriously, these girls are awful. this place would be great if it wasn't for the horrible service. I understand dealing with drunk people can be frustrating but these girls are rude from the start and don't care.

Wow, was this place beyond terrible! I was warned that the bartenders here were extremely rude but I still left with a sour taste in my mouth (and it wasn't from some lemon drop shots - see below).

I asked for some lemon drop shots but was told they were out of sugar. Okay, fair enough. I asked her to make me a tasty shot with vodka in it. Her response? All vodka shots are kamikazes. Um, okay. I understand being a bartender is tough dealing with drunk assholes but I was neither drunk nor an asshole. I was looking to drop some serious bucks. After my one shot, I left.

Atmosphere was pleasant enough with a live band and pool but that wasn't and will not be enough to keep me there or keep me coming back.

Its an OK place considering what harlingen has to offer. Its outside so there can be a humidity or mosquito problem in the summer. The lame cover band has been playing the same set of cover songs for about 20 years now. During the week they only have a jukebox so there can be long pauses of complete silence. I think bars should always have some type of music playing. The beer selection is poor and parking can be an issue on the weekends it lot has tons of glass so be careful. Be ready to get your own drinks cause the waitresses suck and take forever. Baloos is all hype not really a awesome place its just where all the non-ghetto people hang out..
