Barrell

Well I stopped again as I had to be sure that the Bacon Wrapped deep fried hot dog was still as good as memory, and it was verified as excellent. The fries were perfect! not very good, perfect! The family that runs this place is so happy to see you, and so helpful in making everything as right as possible! It is a dive by most standards, but it is the finest fast food in Boron and is an experience that brings me a wonderful adventure story to share around the campfire!

I've always been intrigued by the big barrel on TMT road in Boron.  It reminds me of the days when my mom was still alive.  She, my sisters and I would hop in the car and go get dinner together.  This is one of my fondest memories with
her.  The Barrel reminds me of the little places we used to go to.  Many times we would eat in the car and we girls were in our jammies.  Life was simple then.  The Barrel takes me back to that time.  And it doesn't hurt that they have the best chili dogs around!

This is a Dive of all Dives with great food. I was introduced to the Barrell two years ago on the way to Las Vegas. My buddy Charley loves to take side roads to stay off the HWY so we took old 20 mule team road to the Barrell. I looked at the menu and POW!! there it was BACON WRAPPED DEEP FRIED HOTDOG. I had three (DONT JUDGE ME). It was so good I crave them often. I know plan my drive to Vegas with a stop to the Barrell
