The inn is old but that's what give it its charm. Â The staff is friendly and grounds are well kept. Â There is a nice lake in the back. Â The restaurant serves authentic German food, and most of the diners are of an older generation. Â The air conditioners need updating in the rooms as they are too weak to cool the rooms on hot days.
Review Source:Our company has a warehouse quite nearby, so we decided to give the Bavarian Manor a try while in town on business. Â We're so glad we did! Â The owners are so nice and welcoming. The building is absolutely charming, with small but cosy rooms, homey accents and some with lake views. We stayed in the Turret Room, which is larger than most, and has a little table and chairs in the turret itself. So cool! Â
We loved looking at the historic photos around the place, as well as some framed correspondence from long ago from former guests. We also really liked the collection of devil's fiddles in the dining room.
Breakfast was delicious, and prepared to order. We didn't have a chance to try dinner there, as the dining room wasn't open during the days we stayed there. This location in the Catskills is a great jumping-off point for some lovely hikes in the mountains and to the nearby waterfall. I would imagine there's some decent skiing around in winter.
