We went in with my husband for lunch today. Â I was very excited about this place, Â having read so many great reviews. Â I was sorely disappointed. Â The place is clean, Â the menu looked eclectic enough to be interesting, Â I give you that. Â But the food ended up passable at best. Â My fish and chips was fresh, Â but really hard. Â My husband's Ruben was ok, but his strudel tasted like tobacco. Â We looked for the rock fish, Â but wasn't on the menu and we couldn't get any information as to when they would have it again from the host. Â But really what ruined it for us was the rudeness of the host. Â The restaurant was almost empty, Â so no excuse for his behavior. Â Abrupt barely does this man justice. Â We tried to ask about specials, Â the area, Â the local catches, Â barely got a grunt back from him. Â Never volunteered anything, Â barely slowed down to answer questions or drop our food. Â Didn't say goodbye either. Â We will definitely NOT be returning.
Review Source:Right near Main St. in Rock Hall, we showed up around 2pm Sunday.. Â There was only a table outside and three guys at the bar, one of which was the owner. Â We sat inside so I could watch the Skins game, and they were more than happy to oblige. Â
The service was great even considering there were only two tables. The people were extremely friendly. Â It was definitely a welcoming atmosphere. Â The shrimp cocktail and the reuben were good and priced cheaply. Â
My wife and I were sold so much with the area, the people and this restaurant that we are thinking about coming back for their Pirate festival in August.
