I've eaten here a few times and the staff is always great but it seems the food is of a lower caliber. Â I have tried a few different things on the menu for both lunch and dinner. Â The food usually Seems to be something that was most likely previously frozen. Â
It is a great place to watch a game and have a few beers but be careful of the food.
With any establishment you must always have to the right people working in order to have a business run the way its suppose to.  I've been coming to Beer Hunter since it has opened.  The place is always clean, the servers/bartenders are always nice and helpful, I am not fan of the prices but hey how nice the place is I don't mind paying  Haha!  I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Review Source:5 Stars for Beer Selection, 3 stars for service, 4 stars for food (based on expectations of "pub grub". Â If you are going here expecting gourmet food, you will be disappointed. Â It is lots of craft beers on tap, lots of noise from fans and tvs, and your average pub fare on the menu. Â Good happy hour. Â Fried Zuchini Is great.
Review Source:Don't be fooled. Â The "Hall of Foam" is a bunch of BS. Â The cheesesteak is pretty good, they have a lot of TVs and a large beer selection so I spent a lot of time there last year. Â I completed the requirements to be in the "Hall of Foam" but a year later my name is still not on the wall! Â I even brought it up to management twice...BS!
Review Source:This place seemed really nice when you first walk in, we got seated right away and then..... nothing. No one came up to ask what we would like to drink or anything we sat for about 20 min without even being aknowleged before we got up and left. Also the menu was very small and kind of expensive for the generic choices they had. For being called beer hunter and known for there beer.. it would have been nice to also been handed a beer menu with our food menus, I had to go look for one from another table.
All in all the atmosphere is nice, its clean, they have a full bar( if you ever get to order) and great for sports. But they're service is really unacceptable so I left and that's why I can only give two stars.
Since I live in the area and would like to find a decent place to eat I have been to the Beer hunter 3 times.... well... 3 time the food was horrible. the good thing about the place for me, is you can eat outside and there is a smoking area. cocktails are good and generous. It is a shame to have such a bad chef. with good food I think this place will be pack . To late for me ... No more dinning experience at the beer hunter.
Review Source:I was excited to try this place. Â But it was a complete let down. Â My whole family didn't enjoy their meal. Â The carrots and celery that we had were dried out. Â The hot wings and chicken strips were bland and dry. Â My nachos would have been decent if the chips weren't stale. Â We wanted to find a cool hang out spot in Menifee but unfortunately we are still searching. Â It wasn't worth spending our money at this place.
I do however have to say something positive, the variety of sports and amount of TV's available was pretty impressive.
BJ's will probably put this place out of business though...sorry just a way better quality of food and atmosphere.
Beer Hunter is the best place to watch sports in the area. They have multiple flat screens inside and on the patio that don't allow you to miss a play. They have an extensive beer list along with some of the tastiest local craft brews. I visit Beer Hunter frequently and always enjoy the food, beer and friendly staff.
Review Source:Came here finally after driving by so many times. It is out of the way for me and the family but the husband likes great beer.
I can honestly say that the service was excellent. The atmosphere is awesome. Beers is great. But I had the worst food ever! Too over priced for food!
Kids food was mac and cheese and the cheese burger sliders with fries and chocolate pudding cup. They loved it.
Hubby got the hat trick which is like the club was great. I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies... awful! The fried chicken was burnt, the breading was falling off and tasted bland. Mashed potatoes was too salty and had some nasty gravy on it. I can say the veggies was good. I did send back my plate. Nothing was edible.
The big nachos appetizer we got was not good either. The chips was stale, sour cream was lumpy and the cheese was watery and pale yellow. We also had the jalapeno cheese fries and the chili cheese fries, any kind of fries here is good!
The waitress said that her boss was fixing the bill. The bill came out to $70. All they did was take off the chicken and 1 beer. Why? We didn't eat the nachos and I didn't eat the chicken.
I will not come back.
I rather drive 2 hours to go to Rock Bottom in San Diego or even Oggi's! Really a waste of time and money.
I've visited Beer Hunter locations in the desert; unsure if these are all owned by the same folks - but regardless - was keen to try this one when I was out in Menifee this past weekend.
I ordered some sort of turkey melt on toasted parmesean garlic bread (something of the kind). The bread was absolutelly devine. Could have devoured an entire plate of it! As for the sandwich itself, it had a bit of a "taste" - I'm not sure what the taste was, but it just... wasn't right. *shrugs* I managed to eat just under half of it; portions are VERY generous so if you like what you order, you can count this as your meal of the day! I also had sweet potato fries ($1 extra to substitute them for regular fries) and they were DELICIOUS! I am serious - give me a bowl of the sweet potato fries and some of the sandwich bread, and I'd be set! The coleslaw that comes with the sandwiches is also tasty. Not too overpowering, not drenched with mayo - just right. I'm usually not a coleslaw lover--very picky--but this was very good!
Husband ordered one of the chicken sandwiches (last one on the menu, I think). I personally didn't try it - but if it's anything to go on - he ate it ALL!
The regular fries are also quite tasty. They may be beer battered fries, I'm guessing, because there was something special about them. Not chewey, not soggy - very good.
Service was great; refills brought before I needed to ask. Very friendly staff, too!
(Came in about 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday; only us plus maybe three other tables and a few folks in the bar section.)
Tips:
- Craft beers on tap
- Great happy hour deals
- Wonderful place to watch sports; tons of teles!
Stopped in at this place on the way home from a San Diego day trip, with high hopes for good food and beer. We got food and beer, but it wasn't great, and with a side dish of Surly Waitress to boot.
The menu doesn't have a drink list - had to ask for that, and the server tossed a folded, dirty list onto the table and then disappeared. The beers we ordered took a while to arrive - this isn't a huge place, nor was it incredibly busy - and could have been better. I ordered a popular local brew from a nearby brewery, and found it to be stale, flat, and not well chilled. The food also took quite a while and was underwhelming - typical bar food, but exceptionally uninspired. Nachos tasted like canned salsa and canned cheese. Fish tacos were bland. Monster burger (according to my companion) was big but bland.
The kicker came at the end of our visit. My companion ordered another drink. 15 minutes later, the waitress returned and asked, "Can I get you anything else?" He replied, "The beer I ordered 15 minutes ago, and the check." She responds "They are tapping the keg. You don't have to be so rude." Â No one had come by to let us know there would be a delay with the beer - in fact, we hardly saw our server for the duration of the meal. My companion wasn't rude, we put up with a whole meal's worth of sub-par service before saying one word about the wait time of the drink. We cancelled the drink, paid our check, and got the heck out of there.
On the plus side, the bathrooms are clean. Lots of TV's, they are lining the place like wallpaper. On 25+ TVs, all visible anywhere in the bar, they were showing maybe three sporting events on a Sunday afternoon. could have gone with more sports or less TVs and been fine.
I recently moved from San Diego up to Menifee, CA. I was pretty reluctant to try Beer Hunter because living in San Diego, I was spoiled with great food and bars. After eating here for dinner the other night though, I'm proud to give this spot a solid 5 stars!
Your typical sports bar atmosphere; huge big screen and I swear there were 20 other flat screens in there! The bar is the length of the restaurant where they have a good amount and selection of both bottled and draft beers.
The boyfriend and I both order chicken breast sandwiches which were juicey and tasteful. Employees were friendly and food came out the kitchen quick.
It's definitely a good place considering the small city we live in, so I don't know why others gave this place anything less than 4 stars!
Your typical Sports Bar/Restaurant. Â Good food. Good atmosphere. Not much else to say that already hasn't been said.
Why 3 stars? Well... its just that the food doesn't stand out from the rest and it doesn't make you go "Lets go chow down at Beer Hunter" when you think of a place or sports place to go to.
Buffalo Wild Wings comes to mind first before here.
Lets see. The staff that greeted and seated us were good. The waiter didn't take long  getting to the table. We ordered chips and salsa to start with. They were OK. He told us that he would put a five minute wait after we received them to get our main food. IT was five minutes plus about another 20-30! When our food arrived it looked good. I had the Philly Cheese Steak. That was a great choice, my wife's not so much. She didn't enjoy her burger. It took about 15 minutes after we were done to get the bill. I asked if they have military discount, they do. Oddly enough, it wasn't on the bill. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect anyone to give that type of discount, but we were told yes. Anyways, I was'nt impressed with the service and the food was ok at best. WE WON'T BE GOING BACK.
Review Source:We have always been seated within 3 minutes, the servers are fantastic, selection is great, and I must say that I've never had a better turkey burger than what they have. Â Our child is gluten intolerant and they bend over backwards to server her off menu items. Â If they have the raw ingredients they'll cook her up whatever she wants. Â So very impressed with their attentiveness and customer service! Â The best restaurant in Temecula and Menifee area period!
Review Source:I always get great service at Beer Hunter! The servers know their stuff, and always recommend good choices for me. I have to avoid certain foods and they help me find great things on the menu!! I've LOVED every meal here! Especially the new Fish and Chips, which are amazing!!!
I love watching football here. The cameraderie amongst the fans of all teams is fun!
Of course the drink selection is fantastic too. I don't drink fizzy yellow beer, so the craft beer selections are much to my liking.
I always enjoy Beer Hunter!
Ironically I ended up circling around and around the mall trying to find this place. Ended up I was always close but it was tucked away in a corner of the outdoor market that I hadn't checked (duh me). Thankfully the waitress on teh phone got me situated and pointed in the right direction to them (the address listed for the venue took me an empty field).
Beer and food pretty much sums up this place. Went with a grilled steak/bleu cheese sandwisch and a 6 beer flight sampler. I like the fact they let you select your own beers from all they have on tap.
Sandwich itself was ok but the bleu cheese was smothered on so thick, it was pretty much all one can really taste of the sandwich. Of course the beers were awesome.
Service was average. Overall a great first experience.
I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews on here. My experience was quite the opposite. Â My mother and law decided to go by around 3pm on a Monday to grab a bite to eat. Surprisingly, the place was pretty busy for a Monday at this time, but we were greeted by an incredibly friendly server- I believe her name was Alisha. We were seated right away, given menus, ordered drinks, and put in an app.
Our food did not take long to come out. We ordered the Chili, a turkey melt, and a spinach artichoke dip. The food is nothing special, but it's what you'd expect from a sports bar! The prices are very reasonable, the portions are HUGE, our server was excellent, and there's a large selection of beer on tap.
This seems like a great place to watch a game. There's a huge outdoor patio and massive wrap around fire pit and tons of flat screens around the place. The bar is in a great location with plenty of parking and very reasonable prices.
I will absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area visiting my in laws.
I will never go back to this place. Â I live in the area and have been wanting to try this place since it opened. Â My friend and I decided to go there on a Wed night and watch the game, drink beer, eat dinner etc.. Â because of this we ended up sitting at the bar top. Â
The girl behind the bar (Sarah M.) was the WORST bartender/server I have ever experienced. Â She chatted with her friend took 5 minutes to greet us and when she did she greeted with a "what do you want" . Â We told her we had never been there and she proceeded in saying "oh then you need a menu" Â umm duh yes I do. Â We ordered our drinks and when she serverd them we asked her what was good there.. Â her answer" oh our sandwiches burgers" Â basically the menu? Â she could not offer anything specific. Â So we ended up just ordering a sandwich. Â
45 minutes later the sandwish still had not come out. Â The bartender never acknowleged us to see how we were doing or to update us. Â So we cancelled the order. Â 10 minutes after we cancelled it the manager came to clear it from the pos system.. Â The manager walked over never ONCE did he approach us acknowlege us or anything.. Â He told his bartender that the sandwich was now ready but we were over it.. and that place. Â We cashed out and went to the BBQ fast food place in the same center and got 100 times better service.
This is not a large establishment and it was staffed efficiently but the everyone seemed to be running around without a clue. Â There were empty tables and alot of people waiting to be seated. Â They tried seating people in the bar that needed a high chair at a high bar table.. what part of highchair had they missed with a woman carrying what looked like a 2yr old.
I am a general manager at a restaurant and hold my servers/bartenders to a higher standard. Â Not only that but as a manager I would never allow a guest to leave my establishment as upset and dissapointed. Â I will never return to this place let alone reccomend it and if asked I will tell people to stay away unless you want bad service, hot beer, to eat your food an hour after you order.. But the TV's are immpresive ;)
It was Thursday, and boy, were we THIRSTY! Â We had just come from watching my godson's football game under the blazing Murrieta sun, and a cold one sounded really, REALLY good.
We found out that there was a new sports bar at the Menifee Countryside Marketplace nearby called The Beer Hunter, so we decided to give it a whirl. Â The place was a looker - nice, dark wood furnishings and TVs galore. Â We took a seat at the long bar, and I gave the crowd the once-over. Â Ok, it was a bit "mature" (they advertised Senior Citizens specials on their menu lol!) but we didn't mind.
After sounding off a few expletives (we effin' missed happy hour by about 10 minutes!), we looked at the regular menu, with its regular prices (sigh!) Â For all you beer aficionados - Happy Hunting! There are about 20 taps of beer behind the bar to choose from. Â But Julius opted for a pitcher of Coors Light (nothing too heavy, since he had to work the next morning) and the best thing was it was served ICE cold. Â There was also a thingamajig in the pitcher to ensure it stayed that way! Our bartender also brought out frosted pint glasses, which of course made the beer even more refreshing (gulp!)
For dinner, I had the Red Pepper Pannini. Â Yummo! Â I've said this time and time again, if restaurants keep churning out to-die-for vegetarian dishes like this, there would be more of us! Â Julius ordered the steak burrito and as soon as he did, I was about to lecture him not to be expecting a Roberto's quality burrito haha! Â But he beat me to it and said that he knew it wasn't going to taste authentic, but it was what he was in the mood for. Â He did enjoy it!
I wished I remembered the bartender's name since she was such a sweetheart! Â And our server was really friendly too. Â Their prices are reasonable, and the location we noticed was really close to our church. Â Hmmm, Sunday service, football games on Beer Hunter's big screen TVs right after...Hallelujah!
Food was very good, slightly overpriced, which I had previously been advised, same with beer prices. Â . Â I did not like the manager today, and it wasn't that he questioned me who was driving home, even though that was insulting, and only said that after I asked the wait-service girl "who is the owner"--she did not know!! "Someone in La Quinta." Â The mgr was running around acting efficent BUT I would have liked ...#1 a free beer for the wait #2 a smile, a how's everything? Â Personality and warmth......We did not feel cozy and warm and comfortable. Â
Can I have a job?
College Championship Game
Oregon vs Auburn.
The place was full of Oregon fans... too bad we lost!
We started off with the big nachos... I did not think they were that great... maybe because it was super busy. Â The cheese came out not hot or warm, it was kind of cold... the chicken was cold. Â But my boyfriend said that last time they were AMAZING! & I believe him so I'll let them slide this time.
Each night as a different deal... it was Monday night... so 3 dollar Blue Moons! SCORE! There were 7 of us, so we opted for pitchers. Â I think we got 8 of them! I did not partake in the binge drinking but only a glass. =) However, the beer was cold just the way it should be.
I ordered the roast beef and cheese sandwich. Â Whoa the sandwich was so good! There was a massive sandwich... I shared half. Â
The place has ample seating and LOTS OF TV'S!!
A total cool sports bar. Nice to see that Menifee has something cool like this!!
Decided to stop here since I was in the area, who am I kidding? I live down the street from this place. Anyway, I've never been here and decided to give it a try since the husband wanted some beer, I wanted some grub, win, win! We walked in and it smelled like Coldstones, delicious! Turns out that we were inhaling the smells of Baskin Robbins next door, too bad, I would have ordered something from their dessert menu if that was their dessert smell!
The prices is a little pricey for such a small restaurant, but about the same as Yardhouse. The place reminds me of Millers Field for some reason. On the menu....salads, soups of the day, pizza, sandwiches, pasta and some "specialty" stuff. I ordered a chicken fajita from the specialty section. The husband got a blue cheese burger.
The portions are big so I guess I can't complain about the price. Service was good and while we were waiting for our food, I guess there's a "Foam club" or something where you try their different beers and they check it off on your list. Once you try them all (on several different visits since you're only allowed 6 beers per visit), you get to be on their Hall of Foam. Interesting....
If you're up for watching some sports, this place has all the sports channels on, it's a sports haven! Not a bad deal!
Came here for lunch. It is a sports fanatic fantasy. Screens all over the place with every important game on. The people were really friendly too which I loved.
I got the chicken salad sandwich. The portions are HUGE. I mean it looks like you barely touch it when you are done eating. The bread is a little thick for me, but that didn't stop me. I just tore that thing apart and picked at the parts that I liked. It looked like I murdered my sandwich by the time I was done, but It was good.
My friend said the La Quinta location is way better because they have a ton of pool tables and it's always hoppin'... I haven't been there so I have no idea... just what I heard...
Don't come here on a date though if one of you is super into sports and the other is not. No matter which direction you sit in there are tons of screens, the one not into sports might feel ignored ;)
Similar to the Yard House, but close to home (if you want to avoid the heinous 215 freeway) and worse food.
Lots of fun beers and pool tables. Â Typical prices without getting pretentious like Yard House can.
food was ok- not really impressed, but would eat it if I were hungry. Â Better yet, get your grub on at Chipotle (across the parking lot) and then come here for some Imports.
The music is one of those electronic machines that you pay to play... it did get awkward when no one had paid and the music ranged from  80's rock to Katy Perry.
Great variety of beer at very decent prices! Â I wasn't even sure where to start my journey trying new beers, so I told the server what I like and she made a couple suggestions to try before actually ordering a pint (which was nice--the last thing I want is to buy something I don't even like). Â I really was not impressed with the food. Â The Reuben sandwich (nothing fancy) costs $11.50, which only came with a side of fries & coleslaw. Â My biggest mistake ~ ordering the steak nachos (as recommended by the server) before actually looking at the menu. Â The nachos alone were $15.99, no joke. Â The nachos were unique, in a sense that it wasn't the typical cheese you would get at a baseball game or in a can at Costco.
With my experience and the feedback from my counterparts who dined with me, I/we would definitely return, but only for drinks - not food.
I must say, the service was superb! Â The server was constantly checking-in on our table. Â Great TV screens too!
And on a side note, FAR BETTER THAN RED ROBIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife and I had lunch here today. We went for the full course of salad, sandwich, and dessert and I did have a pair of beers. The food was very good and the portions were just right. Until dessert, which was a mountain of B.I.G. and more than the two of us could handle (this is a good thing).
The beer list, as suggested by their name, was substantial. They have a beer drinkers challenge for those of you who want a reason to go back and try everything on the menu (I will).
They also have TVs everywhere and the NTN trivia games - which all but ensures that I'm coming back.
The service was solid. We received our food in a timely manner, they corrected one minor mistake with no issues at all, and we were constantly checked on.
A win for those of you in Menifee looking for something nicer than the local places.
