Do not be put off by the look of this place. It is a diamond in the rough. This is a steak done right!  We also had fried pickles and stuffed jalapeños to start. The beer was cold and the steak was out of this world. They have live music on the weekends, and the whole place has that "small town" feel, but the foodie appeal. Must try!!
Review Source:On a return trip from Houston to San Antonio, my husband and I stopped in Belmont to buy 50 pounds of pecans at Oliver's. Â While the pecans were being cracked, we enjoyed a BBQ sandwich and fries at the Belmont Social Club. Â The food was very good and the service was excellent. Â

My fiance and I happened upon this place on accident on our road trip headed towards San Antonio. We were hungry and decided to give this place a try, despite its rough exterior.
When we walked in, we were surprised to find that this was a large open restaurant that looks like it turns into a big dancehall when they have live music performing on stage there. Pretty cool, and very Texas.
We started off with the fried pickles, which were some of the best that I've had. They use quality pickles that don't turn to mush when fried and weren't greasy at all. For our entrees, we had BBQ. Between us, we had smoked turkey, sausage, and brisket. The sausage was really good and of high quality, as you'd expect in this area. The brisket was tender, but not overly fatty, and had a great smoke ring around the outside. Potato salad and pinto beans were good, but not the best I've ever had, although that's not of much importance, since I was stuffed anyway.
Service was good. Friendly folks and my drink was never empty.
They have lots of homemade pies here and I *wish* I would have had the appetite to try a slice. Next time, for sure.
Best steak in the area and anywhere around for at least a hundred miles. The BBQ is great Texas BBQ I heard they made it on Texas monthly honorable mention on this area that's quite a hard thing to do for sure being in he Texas BBQ triangle lockhardt and Luling and Gonzales. This place os another out in the middle of nowhere reall out there okace with great food and great music live bands playing and lots of room inside good and cool in the summer great views out back looking at deer eating at feeders and such. It's just really good food all you can eat catfish on Fridays at least might be more often you'll have to ask them. The ribeye and tbone got great flavors just a good steal with great sides. The BBQ was really good I usually get the steak cause it's that good and price is still good so far don't know how long they will keep it there but right now it's great price for steak with that kind of taste on grill taste great. BBQ isn't the best I have had bit it's tender and tasty and you'll get quite alot of it I would say get there early and get a table before they fill up. They are getting crowds from all over from country folks around here like myself and from Seguin,Gonzales,Luling,Nixon and anywhere they know about it it's getting more and more popular get there before it gets impossible to get a seat to eat. This is my favorite Restaraunt with a ham urged that rivals Ednas country cafes and possibly is better this place will become another Luling city market where you cant get in an out fast enough service has been perfect evertime with a great restarauntuer running it like Johnny  abermite don't think I spelled that right. It's going to be a famous place in the not do distant future. Service and food deserve five stars I think y'all will also agree with that rating for sure haven't tried everything on the menu yet but working on it for sure lol. O haven't found anything he's not perfected as far as flavors and cooking ability and this place will definatly be the next best thing to do and eat around here and will continue to draw crowds from afar to try it out at those prices with that food as with all small town restaurants it's about the people and knowing this family I'd say it won't change it will continue to stay on on the best food radar In and around our area for a long long time can't go wrong here keep up the great work Johnny and company great place hometown friendly and great place all around favorite of mine.
