We were trying to meet my in laws at the Beef House but they were closed. Â A quick search on Yelp led us to Benjamins. Â We were pleasantly surprised with the food. Â 3 of the 4 of us had the tenderloin sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Â Nicely breaded, fried and not dry at all. Â Yum! Â I had the rib eye sandwich which I would definitely recommend. Â It was cooked to order (I had medium rare) and huge. Â All the portions were really big and the food was inexpensive.
I have a feeling we'll definitely be back. Â If you are in the area, definitely stop by!
Like another reviewer, we stumbled on Benjamin's by mistake while antiquing in western Indiana. Â We knew it must be good based on the parking lot being full.
It was fantastic! Â I had 3 big pieces of walleye, fries, corn, and a side salad. Â Friend had all you can eat fried chicken, corn, mashed potatoes and side salaed. Â Neither of us could finish it all and the bill was only $17 for both of us! Â Waitress was also friendly and attentive. Â Can't wait to hea back!
Found Benjamin's by accident when traveling thru Indiana on the way back from a wedding.
The outside of the building could use some work, as does the inside. Don't be scared off though as the food is good.
We stopped on a Sunday where they advertise no smoking between 11 and 3 PM. Ordered steak & eggs, fried eggs, hash browns and pancakes. Reasonably priced - whole bill came to $19.52.

Wow what a find in small town America. We were antiquing through rural Indiana and found this restaurant. I had the jumbo breaded tenderloin sandwich, which turned out to be the best tenderloin I have ever eaten bar none, and the sandwich came with very good french fries all for $4.50. My wife had the grilled prime rib sandwich which she loved. The staff were friendly and service was good. First impressions were that this is just your run of the mill mom and pop restaurant, but if the other menu items are as good as our lunch, then this is a real find. Covington is off of our normal travel route, but we will have to think about changing our route just to get back to this restaurant to try it again.
