We drove almost an hour from Dayton to come here because of the great reviews. We arrived around 8:30 pm. The place was very busy which is a good sign.

Strike one:  The place was a mess! There was popcorn and stuff all over the floor.  Most restaurants have a small sweeper that can be used to take care of chaff even while customers are there.

Strike two: There were a few empty tables, but yet the waitress said it would be a 20-30 minute wait.  Since it was later in the evening, we told her we would just go. Amazingly, she found a table for the three of us right away.

Strike three: We were seated and the waitress said it would be close to an hour to get our pizza because two of their ovens were down. She said the hostess should have told us this, but she didn't.

Three strikes and you're out. Now we're trying to find someplace else.

Love Benny's. The pizza here is great (second only to Mellow Mushroom, in my opinion) and the entertainment is equally as good!  There's always fun new bands and events for the weekends. I find myself coming back to absents time and time again.  It has consistently proven to be delish, with good service, good beer, and good times every time.

We were told this was the best pizza in in greater Columbus, so stopped in for a pie when not-too-far away on Saturday night.

This place is a sprawling complex and is *very* popular. We were told twenty minutes for indoor seating, well over an hour for outdoor. We chose indoor and waited about six minutes, so whether that was luck or the whole Amazon-inspired "under-promise, over-sell" thing, who knows. But it sure beat a twenty-minute wait.

Anyway, the pizza is definitely good, but I can't imagine driving out of your way for it--I'd rather have Hound Dogs or Tommy's, and would call Donatos comparable, although I will give them credit for having capicola as a topping--and it's damn good, too. (So was the spicy sausage.)

There's plenty else on the menu, but can't speak for it, beyond the drinks: the homemade root beer is pretty good (it's on the creamy side, and even though I prefer the birch side of things, enjoyed it); my companion ordered a beer despite being a bit underwhelmed by the selection.

The summary: I wouldn't object to going here again, but don't understand the cult following or the people who travel from Columbus and beyond to come here.

My fabulous boyfriend introduced me to Benny's last night. He goes every Friday night with a buddy and was kind enough to take me for what was a back to back visit for him.  Twist his arm!

The pizza is heaven on earth. Half garbage extra sauce the other half pepperoni n banana peppers extra sauce PLUS you have GOT to order a side of their hot sauce. I'm Latina and nothing makes my mouth water. I can take a lot of heat. For this out of the way jammed pizza joint, I was highly impressed with the hot sauce heat.

The beer is freezing. Check. The band of the weekend comes on at 8 pm. Check. The staff is long time loyal to Benny and has crazy recollection of regular preferences CHECK.  Good looking clean staff w/personalities?! TRIPLE CHECK.  Their prices are reasonable.

If I HAD to pick an area that needed attention....it took awhile for our medium pie to arrive but keep in mind:  You get what you pay for and all good things come to those who wait. In Benny's case, your good is guaranteed to arrive in the form of UNFORGETTABLY GREAT.

Will be back and love the atmosphere!!!

They have so many choices of pizzas...it will take us many visits to sample, so I know we'll be back. Our group had a  chicken barbecue pizza, a BLT pizza, a Hawaiian,...all were excellent. The indoor dining area is a bit crowded, but a spacious patio makes outdoor dining lots of fun. We were there on a crowded Friday night, with a large group, so it took awhile to get seated. There is an outdoor bar where you can spend some time visiting as you wait. The summer band line-up looks fun. Tables are arranged so that there is room to dance!

A Marysville institution, for whatever that's worth :)  I go here once in a while, mainly for the root beer.  They have it made for them locally, and it has a somewhat different taste- a little maple maybe?

They have pretty good pizza, decent ribs, and an assortment of the other usual bar foods.  Last time I got a lunch special: Italian hoagie, side salad, apparently house-made chips.  The sandwich was kinda small, but good, and the salad and chips were very good.  Waddaya want for $6?  Plus, there's free (though somewhat stale) popcorn.

Service is pretty good, prices are decent, and hey, good root beer.  Give it a shot...

I can't believe I've been to Benny's so many times and not reviewed them yet.  First of all they are a bit out of the way for many of us in Columbus, OH but they are well worth a weekend visit when the weather is nice or when you want great pizza.  A couple of things to mention though, don't go over there on the weekend thinking you'll get right in and get seated, plan to wait about 45 minutes to an hour.  They have sometimes told us it may be even longer than an hour, maybe two but we've never waited longer than 45 minutes or so.

If you do have to wait you can always go out back to the patio where there is another covered bar area that is a good place to sit and have some drinks while you wait on your table.  They notify you when your table is ready by texting you which is a great system I wish more restaurants would follow instead of giving you those disgustingly fingerprinted, grimy big cupholders with the red lights that light up when your table is ready.  Once you get seated you can plan on about 5 to 10 minutes to get your order in and about another 30 minutes to get your food so don't go here super hungry!  On that note though they do offer free, freshly cooked popcorn which is great if you have the munchies while you wait!

Anyways, on to the actual pizza.  Their pizza is very very good.  I'd put them in the top 5 pizza places I've eaten at in Ohio.  In fact, someone said I should compile a list of my favorite pizza places and Benny's would easily make that list.  Their pizza is the old school Ohio, square cut style pizza loaded with toppings.  They do put a fair amount of cheese on their pizza but I'd recommend if you get a lot of toppings to go with the extra cheese lest you have toppings falling off everywhere.  Their sauce is semi-sweet and their crust is a bit thicker and chewier than I prefer (I like Tommy's style thin cracker crust) but what really is the best here are their toppings.  They use the best, most fresh tasting toppings you can find and the entire thing just comes together as a complete, delicious package.  We've also tried other items here but their pizza is what you must try at least the first time you come here as it is their best item.  Their wings are quite good too and so is their other food but their pizza clearly is why you visit IMO.

Benny's is also a fantastic place to visit if you're looking for some good live music.  Usually this place will be PACKED on the weekends so if you're not a crowd person avoid this as it seems all of Marysville comes here when the clock strikes 5pm on a Friday and they seem to stay the whole weekend.  It's a family-style place so expect to see a lot of kids running around.  Once you hit about 10pm or 11pm though it changes to the more traditional bar scene with older people drinking a bit heavily, exchanging phone numbers and dancing.

Overall Benny's has fantastic pizza and is a great fun but be aware that you need to get there fairly early and plan to wait a while.  If you're just in the mood for some excellent food without waiting and/or the whole crowded, festive patio scene then by all means order from their next door carryout store.  The food quality is the same and they are super fast at getting your food ready to go out the door without any waiting.

P.S. - If you're like me and love pizza with a lot of toppings be sure to check out their "Garbage pizza" and add extra cheese to it.  You will NOT be disappointed!!!!

I don't get the draw....  I've had better.  I'd kill for a decent italian sub, they don't have one.  Pizza is fair....

My all time favorite pizza outside of my own. Great crust and sauce and fresh toppings. Love the big chunks of sausage. Large patio outside that becomes quite a gathering place on summer nights. Everything else on the menu looks great too, but I've always gotten the pizza.

This is one of my all time favs for pizza. Crisp crust, generous toppings and always served hot. Great casual dining and drinking..

Simply because there are very few other restaurants in Marysville does this one succeed.  My wife got the Italian sub and it was soggy with italian dressing and the salami was so smoky flavored that is was inedible. The server was a complete fucking idiot that really shouldn't be waiting tables.  He had one other table and kept forgetting to check in with us to refill drinks.  If we have to get your attention twice, you suck at your job as a server....

Oh yeah, and they don't have Walleye anymore but it is still on the menu.  Fail #3.....
This place fucking blows.  I should have just got some pizza to go, that smelled good...

Been here twice to see different bands. The place is great for that, and looks like they are improving,  a 2nd full bar outside makes drink service fast. Good wings,  the pizza is excellent. just slightly thicker than most thin crust pizzas, very tasty.  The popcorn is also excellent!

Pizza is tastes good and selection is great but the pizza is extremely greasy.  Every time I eat here I end up with a stomach ache and sitting on the pot!  Outside sitting area is nice.

Benny's is a place where you've probably heard the name tossed around at one time or another. Benny's is almost a staple food here in Marysville and this a place that visitors and locals alike can appreciate.

The environment is dark, narrow and divey on the inside, adorned with sports memorabilia and beer signs on the walls, so you'll be sighing in relief once you make it out towards the patio where people are at least an arms length away from you. I have not eaten here in the warm season, because they're usually packed, but you can usually grab some cheap beer, and listen to some bands play monkey shines and covers on a nice outdoor stage. Benny's almost feels as if it were catered to the Honda Associates that proudly sustain Marysville's economy.

Now, to the best part, The pizza! Personally, I have had better than Benny's and while I'm sure most are scoffing at that remark, it's true, the pizza is mediocre when ordered at Benny's actual restaurant, but here's where the winner steps in.. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN.

Benny's CARRYOUT! The ovens are way better at their carryout, and it cooks your pizza to absolute perfection. The sauce is warm, the pepperoni tinging with grease, and the cheese with a golden baked consistency. It's truly a love at first bite. AMAZING.

If you happen to be feeling quite randy and up for adventure, I will recommend a local favorite specialty pizza: the BLT. Now, don't be afraid of the description, or the title. I HATE BLT sandwiches. I'm a meat on my bones kinda gal, but Benny's BLT is on a whole different level. Try it next time your at Benny's in Marysville. They make personal sizes, and I promise, you won't be disappointed.

NOTE TO THE OUT OF TOWNERS: Bennys is closed on Sunday... a common mistake made even by enthusiastic locals. Their pizza is just that desirable.

Great, great pizza (I had the veggie and then a lettuce BBQ one). The pizza, if possible, tastes even better as leftovers on the second and third day!

Still, nothing special about the atmosphere or the service that'd make me go out of my way from Columbus or Dublin to get there.

Getting a server to get your drink is a hassle here. Bit odd.

My absolutely favorite pizza.  The pizza is served Chicago style (thin crust cut into multiple small pieces).  The sauce is on the sweet side.  I prefer either pepperoni and sausage or the works.  Enjoy!

Benny's will always have a special place in my heart because my wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here.  We wanted something low key and easy going (ok, the affordability was nice too), and this was a great fit with the wedding happening down the road in Ostrander.

Benny's is a great example of what I think of as northwest Ohio pizza - thin crust, lots of cheese and toppings, not too much sauce.  Having grown up in NW Ohio, I'm always happy when I can get a taste of home without driving all the way to that corner of the state.  Benny's does a great job of crisping the crust and we've never had a bad pie there.

I'd stick to the pizza - we've had a few other things, but nothing has impressed us like the pizza has (except maybe the homemade root beer with vodka).

Benny's has a lot of seating, inside and out, and easily accommodates large groups.  There's also frequently live music in the summer, and they've got plenty of TVs around so you won't miss any action on game days.

When we first moved to marysville everyone said we had to check this place out. We went a couple of times over the winter and it was good. The pizza was good and staff was nice but seemed to be lacking something. Over the summer we went a few times and now know why this is the hot spot on the weekends with good food and good music. Make sure you check it out

Benny's is the spot where all the cool people go in Marysville.  Well, let's put it this way, it's pretty much the only happening place in the summmer time.  Benny's is a restaurant & bar.  You can choose to dine inside or in the warmer months outside on their huge patio.  There is a stage for bands, and I have to give Benny's credit, they do pull in some pretty good bands here.  The outdoor bar is really nice and convenient too.  The food is really good.  Benny's for the most part is known for their pizza.  Talk to anyone in Marysville and ask where is the best place to get a pie, and 9 out of 10 will more than likely say Benny's (I'd be the 1 person saying Family Pizza).  They have the hands down best spinach dip I've ever had.  All the girls in my family had girl night there last night & they raved about the dip.  If  you're watching your waistline this ain't on the Jenny Craig menu.  The service is good, very friendly staff.  Free popcorn on the tables.  If you're from Columbus, come pay us country folk a visit & check out Benny's one sunny day.  If you're in town with family, more than likely they'll bring you here anyways.  Good place and I know I'll be back for more!!

My parents live in the area and wanted to take my husband and I here for a long time.  We went in June to celebrate birthdays on a Saturday afternoon.

Our small group (4 people) was seated in the Blue Jackets Room which is very similar to a covered, screened-in back porch or patio.  It looked like the area near the bar had rock n roll memorabilia.  The Blue Jackets Room has some jerseys and a glass case with many pucks inside.  The waitress came by with a plastic tray full of popcorn.

The root beer is not to be missed.  It has a subtle root beer flavor and isn't artificial tasting.

We had salads which weren't anything fancy. Iceberg lettuce with some other vegetables thrown in but the salad isn't what we came for.

The pepperoni pizza we shared was great.  The crust was buttery without being greasy.  The bottom was crisp.  We had some left over and when it eaten later there wasn't a bunch of grease pooled on top.

We had a large group (10+) of people behind us so it was difficult to hold a conversation at times.

Next time I'll try the wings.

The pizza is good for the area and they have a large variety of pies. However, they use prvolone instead of mozzarella. They also, have a large patio an nightly musical performances.

Husband discovered Benny's when he had the misfortune of working at the Honda plant in Marysville. Ok so Benny's a little dim and murky with a definite dive bar feel but their pizza is, hands down, the best ever - plenty of cheese, a home-made tasting tomato sauce, and heaps of toppings. We always get the pepperoni and bacon. Absolutely fantastic! Husband loves their wings - the extra hot wings definitely live up to their name! I would recommend Benny's to anyone who likes decent pizza and cold beer at a great price. Oh, and they have a lot of interesting hockey memorobilia (Rolling Stones stuff too). Go early though - even with the extra patio space, it gets packed around 5 when the Hondroids get off work.
