Id give this place a solid 3 for "A-OK." Â Had lots of fun last night - love the live music. Â Its been about 10 years since the last time I was here. Â I did feel overdressed. Â But it felt friendly and homey. Â Â The girls at the bar were really nice- and everyone had fun. Â The bands were jammin and we even got up and danced a bit. Â Fries were good - id re order those again. Â A few of us ordered sandwiches - they were ok. Â We ordered coffee after a few hours and they even brewed up a new batch. Â
I knew what to expect - so it didn't bother me that our tables got sticky from our spilled drinks, or that we had to go back to the bar and re order drinks. Â A few trips to the bar we carried lots of our empty glasses to drop off, but other times someone stopped by to clear off the table. Â This place is a local and low key. Â When you are nice to people - everyone has a good time. Â I guess your night depends on your expectations.
It's a bar in Provo, what were you expecting? Â It has a decent amount of selection for its size, the bartender was a hipster girl, and it's a bit divey. Â The table was sticky, but the brews were cold. Â A few pool tables and a cigarette machine...it looked a bit 70s. Â I liked it...for Provo.
Review Source:I love this place....compared to any other option I have in Provo. The drinks are reasonable prices with some decent bar grub. The staff was very friendly and nice to my party. And if I lived down here I know would be a regular. Next time I have to come down here I will be back for sure.
Review Source:I just had to write my own review and compliment the previous about the "Tall Hipster Dipshit" with no personality.....here is a fun tip: ask him (the T.H.D.) something about one of the punk rock bands he has labeled on his clothing..just pick one.. he has no clue, he probably got it off the rack like that
He told me one night that it is illegal to mix a drink with HypnotQ and vodka, and when I argued with him, he kicked me out.
The burgers seem inexpensive, but what you get is two little tiny super thin,micro patties, barely bigger than "Slider" sized. It was OK, not  horrid, not good, just Meh'
Fries are extra buck or so.
Don't expect anything other than minimal service, that does not seem important to them, and the tall hipster dipshit has zero personality at all.
The staff seems to "phone it in" bare minimum. they just come off like slackers getting through the day.
Maybe it was an off day, but I think it's just the vibe and personality of this place.
Not one star bad, but certainly not 3 star.
I won't come back, but I'm still giving it a two.
My home away from home whilst working in the Orem/Provo Metroplex. This is, in all honesty, the only "real" bar in Provo and is in my top 10 dive bars in the West. Great jukebox, terrific brew selection and cool bartenders. This and the adjacent head shop account for 99% of the counter culture in Provo, so one-stop shopping for those  of you who don't know who Joseph Smith was.

They have bands on Fridays for a reasonable cover and the vibe is always fun and the people are always nice.
They have their own specialty drinks and are willing to make recommendations when its not slammed, this is a great place for a beer or a martini.
This is a place that could easily be a much higher rating for others. It's gotten much better over time. The addition of really decent bar food helps a lot. If you're part of the vodka  and red bull crowd this place is for you. If you'd like a place that can make a Rye Manhattan, you're S*O*L here. So, the low rating is because of their inability to make much in cocktails that don't involved flavored vodka and similar.
I've been here a half dozen times over the years and in what cocktails they know and make they don't change. It's the place to go for a nightcap after a meal downtown, but that's about it  -- for me.
ABG's... well me and two of my colleagues are in Utah for a business trip, and ABG's was recommended to us. It is supposedly the only decent bar in the area, and it didn't disappoint. The bartenders were super chill, and they had a good selection of drinks. The only thing to keep in mind is that Utah limits the amount of alcohol you can comsume, and there are cameras. The great thing is that, compared to California where we are from, rounds are cheap. They have pool tables and a juke box, and if you are in the neigborhood you should check the place out.
They also sell BBQ sauce so make sure you ask Dane the Main if you can try it out. Next time I'm in Orem I am going to make my way to the one and only, Provo pub!!!
