Thank you loving baby Jesus, Budha, seafood god, and girl god!!! This place is so good.  Granted it was a drive for me but it was worth it.  MSG free!!!! :-)

My husband and I went about 2 weeks ago and have made a vow to go back at least once a month.  The food is so fresh, reasonably priced, and the service is great.

What I really like is the separation of the bar scene and the family scene.  Big Daddy's is the adult scene with a full bar, pool tables, and smoking. You must be 21 or older to go on that side.  Little Daddy's which is the family scene is more serene and has televisions so you still have a little bar feel but without the adult language.  I really appreciate that having a 3 year old daughter.

Back to the food.....ohhhhh my goodness...I had the daily special for that day which was crab legs and a salad.  I got a ceasar salad and the salad was so good and crisp I wanted to get up and see if a garden was in the back.  I normally have to have lemon and butter with my crab legs but they were so good seasoned I ate them with no extra stuff.  They steamed the crab legs to perfection.  I didn't have to use the crackers or the little fork to eat them.  My husband got a dozen oysters and was able to split the flavor 6 and 6,  They were huge and seasoned really good.  I hate I can't remember the flavor but I do know they were steamed (you can get them steamed or cold) but they had plenty of cheese, peppers....sorry I can't remember.

The food was so good when it came out, we didn't even talk to each other.  LOL! The children's menu is good too.  My daughter had chicken tenders and veggies.  They were good too (yes we tasted her food too....lol).  She really enjoyed her food as well.

They have a variety of seafood options so if you want good seafood and don't mind the drive....enjoy you some Big Daddy's!!

Orderd the grilled talipa with veggies and it was exactly that a piece of flavorless fish with some mixed vegetable and all plate. The chicken nachos was diced pieces of chicken on a bed of nachos and the cheese was on the side- again, no flavor.

The oysters are fantastic. Ice cold beer on tap. Very reasonably priced. Nice Sports/pool bar.  They have a smoking side and no smoking.

Ehhh I was just passing through Peachtree City and wanted some good seafood so I yelped out. This is a dive bar.  The Half Beast consists of fried seafood (shrimp and oysters me thinks) that is under seasoned. The wings are good, but I think they are tossed in butter (not necessarily a bad thing unless you care about fat/cals/ cholesterol). Ok to be honest, the wings were excellent...size, flavor, crispy, perfection!

Overall, I probably wouldn't go back (maybe for the wings)... Oh and this isn't really a diverse place (unless you count me and the cook) but the people were friendly enough. I did get my food to-go though.

Went for AYCE crablegs and the legs were good but had steal problem with the service. First we were seated and waited 15-20 minutes to order drinks and about as long to get them.  Then we ordered dinner and waited for our salads. Another 20 minutes went by to get those and we had no silverware to eat with. 5 minutes after we got our silverware for our salads our meal shows up.  Spoke with a manager regarding all this and he said he would take care of it and took the crab back. One member of our party ordered wings and they were overcooked and were sent back. Once we got the food all was good til the check arrived. An 18% gratuity was added to our checks (we were only a party of five) and my idea of a manager taking care of it is offering a little something off the bill.  Not the best way to spend a night out on vacation.  Three star rating is based upon the crab legs alone.

There are two sides - the smoking side, which is a REAL bar (18 and over), and the non-smoking side, which has a completely separate entrance. If your lungs can stand it, the smoking side  has way more character - and "characters", and bonus - NO KIDS.
The oysters are farmed, and a little bland...but they have a SEAFOOD BUCKET - get the small the first time- it's 1 lb. of crab legs and about 10 enormous shrimp. Their wings are also some of the best - the chicken tastes fresh, not frozen.
The service is good, and they'll let you sit there for hours (and with a seafood bucket, it's gonna take a while...)

If you like Crab Legs, then you must plan to go to Big Daddy's on a Wednesday night for their All You Can Eat Crab Legs.  Costs $21 per person but well worth it.  They include a salad and bread sticks.   They offer their full menu on those nights too.  Wide selection of beers on tap and in the fridge.  Full Bar.   Smoking allowed, but good ventilation.
They opened up a separate facility next door that is smoke free and children are allowed.  Full bar and menu, even all you can eat crab there too. The Kid-Friendly side is much brighter with white walls and ceiling and windows on two sides so more like going to a regular restaurant than a bar with pool tables and such.
Big Daddy's is a great local establishment, been around forever it seems and now with their smoke-free, kid friendly side they have something for everyone.   Everything is reasonably priced.

    BEST OYSTERS IN ATLANTA!!!!

I've been going to Big Daddy's since they have been open and they always consistently have large tasty oysters. I'm from Florida and have eaten oysters all over the world and the oysters Dave is getting at his restaurant are as good as I've eaten anywhere. I just got back from Florida and had oysters and they were about 1/3 the size of what Big Daddy sells.

Forget what James says below. Doesnt sound like he has a clue.,......

Service on the other hand is average.

Someone below says they have a limited beer selection. Are they crazy? They offer over 53 different kinds of beer. That seems to be a pretty good selection to me.

Check out the oyster photos above and decide for yourself!

Look...don't worry about oysters this far inland. If you want oysters, go to the coast for cryin' out loud!
Aside from that, the beer is cheap enough and the service is good. The menu isn't half bad if you like bar food.
    Just don't get the oysters!

My wife and I headed out to Big Daddy's oyster bar on a Friday night around 8:00pm - 8:30ish and found the place half full. Considering that it was still somewhat early we decided to order some beer and oysters. I have to say we were both disappointed in the beer selection; we settled on Moosehead [at least it was in tap]. We ordered a half dozen of the parsley parmesan baked oysters and a half dozen of the baked jalapeño jack oysters. They were both very good, I preferred the jalapeno jack ones...they had a nice kick to them. After we finished our oysters and another round of beer we disappointed that the place was still pretty empty for a Friday night. So we departed, and headed to the Tavern on 74 [our normal Friday night watering hole].
The food was good...I would come back again to try some more items off the menu, but if your looking for a lively bar scene in Peachtree City...head over to the Tavern on 74.

I really don't have much good to say about this place. I have been there three times, twice when they were slow and once when they were busy.

Never experienced great service, food was cold one time (and I am talking fries that were not even slightly warm to the touch) the other time, we waited forever to actually get our meal, even though they were not busy. We had to send it back because the order was incorrect. No apology and no apparent management staff and the waitress never came back. We had to find someone to get our bill.

Three strikes - they are out and no longer a choice to me. Food marginal at best.

Came here over lunch for the first time.  We ate on the right side where the restaurant is. The place is in a strip mall, and the building is showing its age. It looks like there were a few leaks in the roof.  It's no fault of Big Daddy's, but its hard not to notice when some of the booths are blocked off.

The place looks like your typical bar, and was completely empty when we arrived.

The waitress was very nice and upbeat.  She did good job, but the food took almost an hour to come out, and again there was no one else there.  Two guys came in for the bar near the end of our meal.

The food was actually very tasty, but a bit costly for what you got. The photo is of my meal, it also came with a side salad and cost just over $20.  They offered a lunch special, but did not have a lunch menu.

All and all the place is forgettable, its not charming enough to be a local dive, and not nice enough to make it as a restaurant.

I've eaten here before, I know I have, but I can't say there was anything memorable about it other than I know that I've gotten terrible service. My most recent visit was much, much, better, but that might have been because I was drinking all night and didn't order any food. Pretty standard as far as bars go, reasonable prices, my service was good the last time I went...plenty of pool tables and room to spread out, I'd say it's probably my favorite of the Peachtree City bars, but that's not really saying much. They do have an all-you-can-eat crab leg special one night of the week, butttt I forget which night it is. Thursday is trivia night...uh yeah.
