Good wings, great beer selection, and amazing sandwiches (we got the Irish Dip - meat braised in Jameson with Guinness Mayo and Philly Cheesesteak - Yummy peppers and so much cheese). Stopped here last week while we were camping in Big Sur. We sat outside in the perfect weather and really enjoyed our lunch. The bartender/server was super adorable and friendly. It was so great we came back the next day for wings and beers.
Review Source:Excellent!
Great selection of west coast craft brews for understandably steep prices (I mean...this IS in the middle of nowhere, it must cost a lot to get a keg shipped out there from Bend, OR, or Fort Collins, CO). I had an amazing tart lychee ale from New Belgium in CO (known for their Fat Tire) and my sister enjoyed the WCPA from Deschutes Brewery (kind of like if a red ale and an IPA had a baby). They have an incredible list of bottled beers as well, and for a place off the freeway in Big Sur, they had a stock that would still get good marks in my book if it were in Seattle or Portland or San Jose. But it's in BIG SUR. What more can I say?
If you're on a road trip on Highway One, this is a fabulous place to stop and have a drink (drivers not included!!!) while you stretch your legs and take a bathroom break.
I have to say for the person below (Chris V) who complained about his Guinness taking a long time to receive - it's a beer served differently that most beers, in such a way that it DOES take longer than usual to pour correctly -- so, in the words of my mother, "quit yer bellyachin'!" Google "Guinness pour" or "nitrogen tap" if you want to know the specifics of it.
