Most people haven't even mentioned the food, so I will! A-OK is just what it is. We had some tasty fried pickles to start with a tangy dipping sauce. I had the blue cheese burger. I loved how much blue cheese was on the burger and they even melted the cheese a bit. Very nice touch. The burger was a bit dry, but it was served in a tasty bun and overall I enjoyed it. Sadly, the french fries don't come with a burger. You have to pay an extra $2. I liked the fries. They were the twice fried kind and had a nice texture.
The girls are friendly and the food is mediocre, but not terrible. They have great beer prices and tons of TVs so it's a great place to come watch a game!
Man I have given this place chance after chance since it first opened but this past Sunday was the final straw. Â When we first arrive we are in the back corner (normally no big deal, will get back to this later), My sole purpose was to watch the Cowboy game. I asked our waitress if we could turn one of the 10 TVs to the Cowboy game. She said that she would have to ask management. When she came back I was told that it wouldn't be possible. The cowboy game was on in the main viewing area and we would have to move. Again, normally not a big deal except we had a party of 10. There isn't a table big enough to do this in the main dining room. Plan B. I notice that I can see the Cowboy game at a pretty good angle if we move a couple of tables over. I ask if we can move. Again, the waitress has to ask management. She comes back 10 minutes later and says that will be fine. After we move, she says our waitress will be right with us. What????? I really liked this waitress and she had already been busting her rump for us. I ask if we can keep her. Again, she has to ask management. She tells us they don't like to swap stations. Is this really rocket science folks??????? Eventually she says that management has graciously let her continue to be our waitress. Great! Lets party and watch the Cowboys.....wrong! It didn't take very long to figure out that the A/C was not working. Our entire table along with others around us were sweating our buts off. We ask our waitress if we can open a window or one of the roll up garage doors. She comes back, after agreeing how hot it was and saying how others were complaining, and states that management will not let her do anything. Unbelievable! We ask to speak with the manager. He says there is nothing he can do. If he opens a window or door it will only make it hotter and walks off. Wouldn't a competent manager at least tell patrons that the A/C is broke in the back and apologize but let people know this before seating them back there? Basically sit at own risk?!?! Does this genius understand air flow and know that this was the first day of fall and the weather was awesome outside? If your A/C broke in your house would you sit in there with all the windows and doors shut? At this point we were probably in a total of about $300 bucks between all of us. Others around us are drinking water, not eating, or at best nursing a beer. We had been ordering pitcher after pitcher. My bill alone was approaching $100. Had I stayed I would have easily spent another $50-$60 bucks. Yet there is absolutely nothing this manager can do for us? Pitcher on the house? Appetizer? Apologize? Anything? We were nothing but a nuisance to this guy. The icing on the cake was when a table of off-duty waitresses started making fun of us saying that they needed heaters. Again, our waitress was awesome. I wish that I remembered her name. However, for someone who is supposed to be trained in the hospitality field, this manager has a lot to learn. It is obvious this is a his way or no way type of guy. I feel sorry for the poor girls who have to work for this clown. What a shame. I am a professional, local San Marcos resident with a lot of disposable income. Unfortunately this places cons far out weigh their pros. Over priced, marginal food, and the mixed drinks have always been weak. It's time to officially throw in the towel when you can't even comfortably enjoy mediocrity.
Review Source:worst management!!! when it comes to management i wouldnt even give it one star! hotter than hell in this place because a/c is broken and asked management to open the window to get a breeze and he tells us (a group of 10) "NO" because it will get hotter. i guess he doesnt know the purpose of wind or air flow!!! service was great but when you have half of your restaurant sweating you better run to wal mart to buy some f'in fans!! or do something for your business to make your customers satisified!! IF YOU KNOW YOUR A/C IS BROKEN BE PROACTIVE THAT IS JOB!!! my suggestion is if you want to see NFL SUNDAY w great drinks and good... go to harpers or louie's oyster bar!
Review Source:Came here with a work friend - his suggestion, for the record, LOL.
If you are offended by the positioning of Hooters you will feel the same way about this establishment. Â BUT, if you are looking for cold beer, average food, and the glorification of females, wearing bathing suits - you will like this place. Â
I have no problem with girls wearing bathing suits, but that did not completely dull my senses into enjoying the very average bar food. Â We had 20 hot wings ($18.99) which were no great shakes, more bone than meat. Â But, they did have enough beer offerings to satisfy my thirst, 20 oz. of domestic beer for $4.00 during happy hour.
This is a fun place to watch a football game, don't expect much and your expectations will be met.
This was our first and most likely last trip to Bikinis SBG! The black and blue burger was very good. My son had the bacon cheddar burger and again was very good. Oh and don't get the fries unless you want to pay $2 more. wasn't told about that when we ordered!! Had wings for appetizer and was very disappointed. Alex our waitress turned this into a very unenjoyable visit. She didn't seem to want to be here at all. Really had high hopes for this place, but I can see now why the parking lot is empty on a Saturday night!!
Review Source:Im not one to go to these places because of the girls, I'm not a douche looking for attention. I do like to come here to have a few beers, watch sports and eat some food. Two more reasons I like to come here......the girls are very friendly and its never packed, I don't like busy crowded places.
Review Source:Went here with some friends for lunch one day. Â It was kind of a lark because one of my friends lived in the apartments immediately behind the bar and wanted to see if it would be a great place to drink without having to drive. Â The rest of the party were an extended family visiting college with their student-to-be.
The first dilemma we had was scoring a table that would seat eight. Â I got there early to give the staff some heads up time, and they could only suggest we split up across two nearby tables. Â Fortunately, the rest of the party arrived late and two larger tables opened up that we joined together ourselves, after kindly asking their permission. Â I never quite figured out why they made joining two tables together such a big deal.
We were here during the NCAA basketball playoffs. Â It was in the middle of the afternoon on Good Friday, and the bar was about a third full. Â We were trying to catch up, and couldn't hear each other shout three feet away. Â Most of it was the blasting of the TVs, not the crowd.
The service was a bit haphazard, but our order was eventually taken. Â The food was delivered a bit helter-skelter and the waitresses couldn't remember who ordered what.
The food itself was actually fine, but it was vastly overpriced. Â I wound up having my friend's soda on my check, and it was $15 for a cheeseburger and fries!
I see no point in going back. Â The waitresses are cute but definitely a case of body by Fisher, brains by Mattel. Â It's just not worth the hassle and the prices are outrageous.
