I wish we could put negative stars. Â Horrible, UN-attentive and UN-knowlegeable wait staff and service. Â Hodgepodge look to the furnishings and layout, just like the old Billy Bob's on Division. Â This restaurant can't seem to re-invent itself in a positive way. Â Food - we ordered pizza. Â They did accommodate changing the red sauce to the garlic white which we appreciated. Â The mozzarella cheese had a strange texture though. Â We will not be back.
Review Source:Was a big fan of the original Billy Bob's on Division so was really pleased to see them reopen in downtown. Â I stopped for dinner a little after 7:30 PM last Wednesday. Â After a five-minute wait to be served (I was sitting at a mini-bar right behind the main bar) the owner, Billy, came over to ask if I wanted a drink and was very apologetic that it had taken so long to get to me... even though several servers and the bartender all had me in full view. Â Billy also got me a menu and said that the bartender, one of his most efficient, would take care of me. Â After a 20+ minute wait, I walked up to the bar to ask for my bill since it did not appear that anyone was going to take a dinner order from me. Â It then took another five minutes to get a bill since no one was sure who had my check. Â None of the servers nor the bartender seemed particularly concerned when I asked for my check and made a point of returning my menu without ordering.
I did speak with Billy as I left and, to his credit, he did apologize for the lack of service. Â Unfortunately, I will need to think carefully about returning. Â As a side note, I walked around the corner to 4th Street brewery, was greeted promptly, and received great service for my meal!
The steak bites are like rubber. Please get some quality steak. The mashed potatoes were horrible. I asked for ribs. The waitress asked me if I wanted a half rack or a full rack. I told her that I wanted a full rack of ribs, to which she replied. "And how would you like your prime rib cooked"? Â The rest of the food was very underwhelming. I have tried Billy Bob's twice now and both times, I was not impressed. I will not be back.
Review Source:My co-workers and I went there for lunch to celebrate a birthday. We won't be back.
Service: We stood at the door waiting to be seated for a good five minutes until the server finally came over and told us to seat ourselves. Â It then took her another 5 minutes to bring menus (even though she took an order at a table near us and walked by with the menus, she later came by to ask us if we wanted menus). She had no idea what "hoppy" meant when referring to beer. Â When she delivered our food, she brought no silverware. Â When one of us got up to ask for steak knives and sliverware, she brought it over to our table and said something to the effect of, "I'm not sure what you need this for, but here is some silverware". Â She assured one member of our party that his sandwich would not have mayo - and it came with mayo.
Food: Bland, tasteless, no flavor, nothing special. Â I truly believe I have had a better burger at Carl's Jr. Â
Atmosphere: Bad music playing too loud. Â Other than that, the interior isn't so bad.
I was extremely disappointed in the new Billy Bobs location. There were ants in my daughters rootbeer...twice. The food overall was unappetizing and the service while friendly left a lot to be desired. The dessert was free, but mine had mold on it. The manager never came out to discuss the problems with the meal. I will not be returning to the new Billy Bobs.
