    Mother's Day Brunch @ Bingham's = Fiasco.

    We arrived just before our 10 am reservation time.  The restaurant lobby was PACKED with people.  There was a lot of confusion about what was going on and the hostesses at the center of it all kept reiterating that they weren't in charge. People were getting frustrated and the tension in the room was rising.  My party was at the top of the reservation list and I figured that we would be seated first.  Wrong.  Logic clearly does not drive the operation at Bingham's.  Not only did they not go down the reservation list but they started seating parties without reservations before parties with reservations.  Like I said, logic does not exist in this establishment.  I spoke up about the fact that they were seating people without reservations before those who did have reservations and it resulted in an altercation with another patron who didn't have a reservation.  The non-reservation party demanded that they be seated immediately because they had been there since 9:30. Ummm hello, I didn't care what time they had been there since if they didn't have a reservation. I made my reservation 10 days in advance of Mother's Day to try to eliminate wait time with my two little nieces.  The woman without reservations insisted they be seated because her kids were "anxious" and that if they weren't seated they were going to leave.  She was saying all of this while my niece was starting to have a little meltdown from waiting in a hot, crowded lobby with an empty belly.  The staff at Bingham's literally just stood there and didn't try to difuse the situation at all.  Finally one of the hostesses made the decision to seat the non-reservation party first.  Really annoying.  The lack of customer service is worth the 3 star deduction in my opinion.

    The food itself was fine. Omlets, waffles, salads, pasta - pretty much anything you could want. The dessert table was amazing and featured a chocolate fountain.  The brunch display was nicely done. The wait staff seemed flustered most of the time and we had to flag down our server several times to get things that we needed. Bingham's included gratuity which was smart on their part.

    When we left the lobby was still packed with people and everyone looked a bit disgruntled.  I'm glad we went early so we were out of there by about noon.  The staff and management definitely need some training in the customer service department.
