Delicious food, great drinks, fantastic atmosphere... excellent! I'm not a snob about food and I feel that everything I've had here was delicious. This is one of my favorite spots in Ashland for drinks and hanging out; darts in the back, a live acrobat regularly... and delicious black bean hummus plate (favorite!) and tartar sauce (their fish & chips certainly aren't bad).

I'll admit that beyond the food and the drinks, the atmosphere is really what sells this place for me... sweeping high ceilings, funky British decor, large fireplace and huge 2nd-story windows overlooking downtown Ashland... love it!

Worst service and Fish and Chips ever! Had the Fish and Chips and it is definitely not good. Also, service from Ursala was even worst! She charged me $7.50 for a beer with a splash of liqueur because she "assumed" we wanted the larger one. Never going back again and was never charged that much in the past. Go to Louie's instead folks! Cheaper beer with nicer service. I should have left her nothing for a tip but I was a restaurant person myself in the past and know that she could have had an off day but c'mon, don't assume! Watch some Bar Rescue!

Rolled into Ashland to overnight during a mid-week road trip, my first time there. Looked around for somewhere to grab dinner, found myself in the Black Sheep. Stood around kind of awkwardly... Apparently it's a "grab-your-own-menu-and-seat-yourself" type place. Well, okay.

Once I got that all figured out, though, things took a turn for the better - the place had a very comfy and lively vibe, with groups and families alike enjoying themselves. I was on the tired side and opted for shepherds pie, which was delicious and nicely modernized without being fussy or silly. Totally hit the spot.

After several samplings in the area, we are ready to proclaim that Black Sheep has the best Fish and Chips entree around.  If you like the good ol' F&C, then that's what you ought to get here.

If you're a fan of British pub fare, then you've found the right place.  It's an acquired taste, so if you have no idea what that is, you might not care for it.  Shepherds Pies, Bangers and Mash, Pasties,etc...it's all here.

They know what a Black and Brown is, and the difference from a Black and Tan.  They pour a Guinness right proper, at least from our experiences.

I personally like the ambience.  They take up a big space upstairs, which you might not realize from the outside, with super high ceilings.  It's dark in there, so remember to put your sunglasses back on before you emerge.  The ceilings are painted dark with metallic painted stars.  I think that's cool.

We bring our 6-year old kid here for lunch, and he chows down on the fruit and cheese plate.  It might get rowdier in the evenings, but totally fine for lunch.

How's the service?  it's always been quite good for us.  But - come on.  You're bound to get a fair bit of turnover at a lot of bars and restaurants, so your experience is only as good as your current staff, which might be different a few months later.  The menu and ambience is more likely to persist over waitstaff.

See ya at the Sheep!  We'll be Baaaaaa-ck.  (Sorry).

So glad we decided to stop in after looking at the menu outside the pub. My husband said it was the best buffalo burger he's ever had, loved the fries, and enjoyed the local beers. I ordered the special: smoked salmon shepherd's pie, and savor end every bite! The flavors were multi layered yet subtle, surrounded by horseradish mashed potatoes (again, subtle).

The service was friendly and helpful. We will definitely return on another Ashland visit.

Twice a year we drive by the Black Sheep, and twice a year we stop. Once on our way down to CA, and once on the way back up. Twice a year my wife and I lament that we can't find somewhere like this near us. I'm no pub expert, but I've been to the UK and I've been to pubs there, and this is the closest I've found to a place the replicated the feel (not just the menu or decor) of a real pub. The Black Sheep is the kind of place you can meet friends for a chat, bring a book to read, or just sit and look out the window, all while enjoying a nice beer or cider.

The menu is excellent, and has the three things I love most about pub food: Cider, Welsh Rarebit, and Scotch Eggs. That is the perfect pick-me-up after a long drive, and keeps me going after.

Parking is a bit tricky, but make the detour off the freeway. You'll be glad you did.

I got what I wanted...a casual British pub experience...although I didn't have to order from the bar and hunt down a waitress.  The food and drink was solid.  Loved playing checkers with my son while we waited for our food.

Really awesome atmosphere. Drinks were great, food was soo good. We're vegetarian and we had a vegetarian shepherds pie that was great.  Wish we had something like it in the Bay Area (we have a choice between hipster, yuppie, or dive).

Wondered why it doesn't have more five star reviews, I guess the number one is they are too busy to serve everyone on time. We didn't have that problem even though they were busy, plus its a great bar to "hang out" I wouldn't go if I wanted a quick lunch and a drink.

Going back up to Oregon soon and this is one thing I really look forward too.

This is still my favorite place. I know it has it's downsides(for me it's only the menu, strictly because Im not crazy about british food) Service has always been excellent!

Anyone who knows what they're talking about knows that bartending can be a stressful job, and that when doing this job, you try your hardest to take orders from people in the order that they came. The bartenders here do that, and are pretty quick at making the drinks. and always have a smile on their faces(unless you're wasted and treating them badly, which lets face it....get out of the bar.)

The servers do a great job of treating me like a friend, they remember my name and my order as well as many many other patrons.

Even though Im not big on the menu, I still find things I do really love here. English breakfast for one: SO GOOD! Also, the conundrum sandwich on the pita bread is my favorite!! Add some brie and it's amazing!!! And the servers/cooks never have a problem with me switching stuff up, which is cool cause a lot of places don't let you customize much!

Best bar in town for sure! Food is delicious, servers and bartenders are great! Everyone should check it out

I like this place. Dark and cozy atmosphere, a fire with couches, and an area to play darts. There's live music on the weekends.

What a wonderful stop in Ashland.  We stumbled upon this place on our way to San Francisco from Montana and couldn't wait to return on our road trip back.  The first night we just had a drink and enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and bartender Angie.  The second night we had enjoyed an awesome burger and delicious fries from chef Robbie.  Angie was our friendly, informative server.  We can't wait to go back.  Thanks for the great experience!!!

I used to live in so. Oregon and visit often due to family and friends that still live in the area.  If we are hanging out in Ashland, we usually end up at the black sheep for a pint, although I can't recall ever really eating there.  Generally this has been a good experience but after our experience and treatment last week, I will never go back.  My boyfriend, friends and I (5 of us) stopped in around 6:15 or so last Sunday evening.  We were just seeking a drink or dessert.  We sat by the fire and a waitress arrived, handing us menus.  We waited. And waited.  30 plus minutes.  And no one ever returned to take our order.  At which point my bf walked up to the bar and was told that the waitress would be over shortly.  The chick at the bar told him very curtly "I'm sorry, but we're busy!". After more waiting with no waitress arriving, he went back to the bar to inquire if anyone was assigned to our section.  The bar tender told my bf he could just place our order at the bar, which he then did, opening a tab.  The bartender then delivered everyone's drink but mine.  10-15 minutes and I was still without my beverage (a Guinness float).  I approached the bar to inquire and was not given the time of day by the bartender.  So the bf walks to the other side of the bar and talks to a skinny waitress in a lacy green top with the bartender standing by.  He asked if there was someone assigned to our section because I still didn't have my drink and told them that this was getting pretty ridiculous.  Curt bartender with boyish haircut says irritatedly "I told you, I'm waiting for the ice cream from the kitchen!". Bf walks away from them, I'm still watching from across the bar and waitress in green lacy top makes a disgusted face at boyfriend's back and says "fu**ing asshole" to her little bartender friend.  I tell the bf what I observed and he went back to confront waitress about her poor choice of language.  Snotty waitress promptly denies calling bf said epithet.  Friends and I decide to leave the establishment, with their drinks only half-finished, because really, who expects to enter an eating establishment and be subjected to verbal abuse on top of the poor service?  As we're exiting, bartender walks over and jiggles a glass of ice cream at me.  I tell her that we're leaving and my bf shouldn't have to pay for anything.  She says, "oh, he's not paying for your float, but he's gonna pay for everything else", and cashes out the tab.  And we exited, over an hour after we had arrived...  And I never got the simple drink that I ordered.  The thing is, we're pretty reasonable people, and had the situation regarding being ignored and getting poor service been handled differently by the staff, (like with a sincere apology, courteous attention, etc) the outcome of our experience would have been very different.  Alas, it was not to be, and we don't plan to return.  Thankfully Ashland has many other fine establishments that are ready and waiting for our patronage.

The Black Sheep: Be hungry and thirsty for a pint when you go!
I like the Ploughmans lunch; Fish and Chips; Trout Pâté. Ask for house darts

Wonderful place to grab a cider on tap and scotch egg. Or some other brew and mostly English food. Service is prompt. Finding parking can be an issue, but that's true of almost anywhere in this area. We find it to be the perfect stopping place on a long drive. Prices are right considering you can't find this food anywhere else (at least not easily). The atmosphere is friendly and you can find a quiet corner to enjoy a beer, or play darts, or sit and enjoy the game. Great view of downtown.

A very fun British-style pub, complete with unique food, fun drink combinations (i.e. GUiness & Champagne) and of course with the British Red Telephone Booth too! It's very cozy in the colder months, and it's fun sitting by the window and being able to look down & out onto the street below, also there is a fireplace and darts!!

    Cidar on tap.
Authentic English Cuisine (which doesn't sound good, but honestly that just means REAL pub food)
A couch with a fireplace (with real wood burning in it...)
Tea and Scones for 2 people puts you out like 6$, and you get to sit by said fire.
    Dartboards!
    Awesome decor.
They have soccer on tv all the time - which is rare and awesome.
They have lambic as well, which is usually only found in stores.

Place is pretty awesome. Fish and chips and a nice beer puts you out somewhere around 17 bucks, but that's also amplified by Ashland's higher end pricing for an Oregon establishment (put this in a large touristy city like SF, Portland or Seatte, and it would be far more pricy and crazy popular.)

The bread pudding is amazeballs, and they have lots of good beers and awesome drinks. I really enjoy the chips and vinegar. The place itself is really cute and at times, a lot of fun. I love the fireplace and the phone booth. The last time I went, however, I came to terms with the fact that the people that work there are probably not that happy to do so. I realized that I've never been wowed by the service. There have been times when I've actually felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable with our servers. I usually just get the chips and vinegar, but last time got the welsh rarebit and I was not amused. It sounded great on the menu, but when I got it, it was cold (which was weird, because we were literally the only ones in there). Gross. The server seemed really uncomfortable with our daughter. It was the first time I'd been in there during the day, but it definitely seemed as though the slipcover on the couch could use a good washing (or burning).  I was kind of sad...I loved this place. It's seriously one of my favorite places to go have drinks and just hang out with friends on a cold winter night. I'm not saying I won't be back, but I don't think I'll ever eat there again (I mean, seriously, how was my food cold when no one else was there?!).  I just think that the place needs some new life breathed into it. And, honestly, a good scrubbing.  People should care about this place because it's such a friggin' chill spot...I just don't know. Sigh.

This place gets a star for ambiance.  It's a mellow pub i've been going to for over 20 years.  I have spent holidays, new years, birthdays, drank with friends and by myself.  I have loved and fought, made friends and lost them in this bar.  There are nights i remember well and nights i couldnt remember if i tried.  I have been good friends with staff dating back to 1995 before Andrew had the blood sucked out of him by "She Who Must Not Be Named"

Since Andrew owned the bar this place has gone to hell.  This place is a tourist trap, not a local hangout anymore. The atmosphere of an English pub, the expected banter, the friendly faces are gone.  What's replaced are miserable employees schlepping drinks.  Music is often atrocious, bartenders are rude, the menu, while the chef is excellent, is disgusting and overpriced.  This is a pub, not a 4 star restaurant!

3 words just brought it down to a 2 star: NO HAPPY HOUR! WTF!?!

Plus...who sells $6 pints of cider?  Still I am forced to go to feed my addiction to cider. It's the only place in the valley that sells it on tap.

Loved the atmosphere of this place and decided to try it because it had fish and chips and was located up some stairs. It seemed very cozy and inviting during lunch hour on a Sunday and there wasn't any problem getting service. We ordered fish and chips, bangers and mash, and a shepherd's pie among the three of us. The fish part of fish and chips was overly greasy, but the chips were great. Bangers and mash was a hit, and the shepherd's pie was as warm and homey as the interior of the Black Sheep itself.
I'm not sure if it'll get a return visit the next time we're in Ashland, but it was a good place to come as a tourist.

Hit this place up after a play, while waiting for the rest of our company to get out of theirs, and had some much needed hot drinks after a cold outdoor play. I enjoyed my Keoke coffee with kahlua and brandy, and although the rest of our party felt the bartender was not that fast, I didn't notice any problems.

The establishment itself was quiet on a Tuesday night, and was just bright enough that you could actually read there (as one guy was doing). I personally like this as I see no reason to crank the music at max when it's not exactly popping. I also liked the atmosphere, you could say it was a bit of a "Disneyfied" UK I suppose, but I felt like it straddled the line pretty effectively and was definitely a cozy, comfortable spot. Would return, and perhaps try a cornish pasty next time!

My husband used to come here when he went to SOSC and he has brough me here twice in the past 8 years.  The first time I was not impressed, simply because it was packed with drunk college kids.  This time, we came for lunch and it was quiet.

Our waitress was very nice, helpful and attentive.  The menu (in my opinion) is limited, so I ended up just getting a fish pie, and my husband got the meat pie.

His "pie" was just ok.  Basically VERY ground up hamburger with some veggies and mashed potatoes.  My fish pie was really good, the fish cooked perfectly (did not taste previously frozen and not chewy) and the broth was a nice texture and flavor.

I would come back for the fish pie, but my husband will be trying something else.

Great place! I had the half order of the fish and chips and it was just the right amount of food. To drink I ordered the Black Sheep Lemonade, I think that was the name, it had lemon juice, alka seltzer, and jameson.

The Black Sheep Pub is a fun, olde-style English pub in downtown Ashland.  It's easy to find and has a great location within a few blocks of the main stage.  It's a bit old and very used-looking, but that only adds to it's character.

The restaurant itself is huge and open with the bar in the middle surrounded by high ceilings and big windows with nice views of the the town and hills.  It was pretty easy for us to find seating along the window, and other than the crowd at the bar, the noise level was relatively moderate.  There were kids and families, people having dinner, and people getting very drunk all in the same place.  Authentic.

The food menu focuses on English dishes that all turned out pretty good.  I had the Sunday dinner, which was tasty but the beef was well-done, overcooked and hard as a rock... just like they make it in England.  Quite a few of the dishes are suitable for vegetarians as well.

Between dinner and coffee, we checked out darts at the bar and played a few games, which was quite entertaining.  Overall, we had a lot of fun, the menu was very novel for us and the food quality was ok.

I'm actually writing this review for friends of mine who recently traveled up there for the Shakespeare Festival. They aren't much into blogging and doing much on the computer, so I told them I would Yelp their visit for them.

Their waiter was Dan and they said he was GREAT!

They enjoyed it so much, they went both days they were in Ashland. Almost like they couldn't get enough the first night.

They especially enjoyed the ale, beer cider on tap, tea and the food they had. They tried the Shephard's Pie, Irish Stew, Pasty, cheese & fruit platter, and dessert.

So if I'm ever in the neighborhood, I'll have to personally try this place. Let me know what you think if you get there.

Came here with friends during our visit to the Shakespeare Festival in July. Other restaurants were booked solid - luckily this pub has only a small red door on the street which I think keeps too many folks from stopping in. More room for us and our big party!

Many things were ordered, including Welch Rarebit, Chips & Vinegar, Fish & Chips, Cornish Pasty, etc. All were well loved. We then ordered a round of desserts - the bread pudding was fantastic!

I'm a potatoes girl, and the chips were spot on.

Nice, casual pub for visitors and locals alike. High ceilings, lots of seating, a cozy fireplace with TV, darts, and lots of tasty menu items. I highly suggest the Black Sheep Lemonade (whiskey, lemons, sugar, soda water) to whet your whistle while you wait for the Bard!

I like the Sheep! Been here many times, being an Ashlander and all. It's dark, funky, and cozy and doesn't seem snobby like a lot of other places around. Good place to get your drink on for sure!

One thing I never get is why the Sheep is always empty on weekend nights other than First Friday. This is a cool place with a chill vibe, yet it's perpetually empty and people seem to go to Alex's instead. Uh, ok... that's a head scratcher. But I digress! If the Sheep were in any major city, it'd be packed wall to wall since it's a cool space, period.

On to the food: so, I have been told by people who used to work here to never eat the food because "you don't want to know what goes on in the kitchen or how unsanitary it is." Gulp. Well, I still eat here and dammit, I like a lot of it, so there!

I LOVE their bleu cheese salad dressing. It is spicy and unique and I believe they make it in house. If i had to get one thing here, it'd be a salad with that dressing.

Second best thing: scones with clotted cream. Divine. They take a half hour to prepare as they are made to order, but really yummy.

I generally go with the shepard's pie here. I like it- it's homey and filling. Last time though, it was beyond salty and hard to swallow, but normally, it's consistently good.

There are tons of vegetarian options on the menu, the beer list is lengthy, the music is good, and the ambiance is perfect for drinking with friends or throwing a game of darts. Just wish more people would go here to make it a more rockin', happening kind of joint, but I guess that's not very Ashland-y.

Best bar ambiance I've seen in awhile...

Unfortunately that's not all it takes to have a good bar.  When I visited, the bartender was embarrassingly naive about not only the beer selection, but beer in general.

The draft beer selection here is also surprisingly limited.

How about a few authentic English beers?  Something on cask maybe?

This is a very large, casual venue, perfect for college kids who just want to drink beer.

The food I ate here was problematic, however.  I did not feel entirely well afterward.  My belief is, when this happens, go somewhere else next time.  There is no point in giving a second chance, with so many other restaurant choices in Ashland.

I do not fault the service.  As an informal bar, catering to 20-somethings, this place works fine.

This is one of the only bars I've been able to stand in Ashland. We came here about 4 or 5 times during Fall/Winter last year and rather enjoyed ourselves. I love the ambiance and especially right after ice skating down the street, it was nice to stop into a cozy warm bar and have some hot cocoa.
That being said, the hot cocoa is probably the only decent thing I've ever eaten here.
I've been for breakfast (crumpet), beers and fries, dinner, and drinks. Every time something went wrong with the waiter or waitress. They were clumsy and thoughtless. My crumpet was cold and hard and it was embarrassing how long it took her to get it out to me. I had fish and chips when I went back for dinner and it left much to be desired for.

I give this place 3 stars for being tolerable in a town full of boring, underwhelming businesses. I also give 3 stars for being enchanting at night and especially in the winter time. A beautiful place to duck into and have a warm beverage when it's cold outside.

But I wont be eating here again.

I'm sorry to report the quality of their food and service has taken a bit of a nosedive over the past few years.  You can still grab a tasty bite if you know what to order, but if you're a newcomer it can be a bit of a gamble.

For example, their fruit and cheese plate used to be excellent.  Now it's unimaginative, tasteless, and features only low cost cheeses and fruit slices.  The price, however, has stayed the same.

Still, I'll return from time to time for drinks and my favorite dish, the bangers and mash.  I hope that The Black Sheep can remedy the issues they've been having as of late.  Pull it together, guys!  We're rooting for you!

Ok- so 1/2 my family is Irish and the other Italian and i grew up with both foods and mexican and salvy food- lol

Many choices of beers and for those who like dark, strong beers go here-

It is upstairs so watch out going down the steep stairs after a few drinks.

Food- I got the bufflo burger- it was good- the bun was a bit bigger the burger so you have more bun than burger-

Sheperds pie- was ok- I tryed some and it was made with "sirlon?" what happened to the lamb and no crust or in a bowl? it was sirlon with the mashed potatoes next to it. all on one plate- a few people said it had good flavor but was the old school type and some said it was like a upscale SLOPPY JOE.

I heard there are known for there fish and chips- so try that-

But if you are looking to try the food and grab some good beers and mix of beers- go here

Here's the deal.  I'm no Blade Runner out there trying to hunt down the best bar food on the planet (More fish and chips than fish?).  I certainly don't have stupid spiky blonde hair, my own TV show where I get fatter by the second and wear the same bowling shirt that I've worn since 1997.

When it comes to bar food, I don't expect it to blow my mind like Donnie Darko.  What I do expect is a little consistency.

I have been to the Black Sheep twice and I will admit that I will probably be back because I can't quit it (and twice isnt enough to really show a pattern).  The first time was an amazing lunch after a great afternoon rendition of Hamlet put on by OSF.  I ordered the  shepherd's pie and it was fan-friggin-tastic.  Like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain.

Now...I have been spoiled.  I went back last weekend on my way up to Portland from Sacramento and ordered the same thing after raving at my buddy for about 300+ miles that the food at the Black Sheep was really good.  Not only was it not the same; as in a completely different recipe but it was also about 1000 times crappier.  What the first one had in spades this had literally none of.  Flavor?  What's that?  Quality Meat?  How does that work?  Yeah, it was bad.

Not to mention my friend ordered the crab cakes and said they were the worst he's ever had.  Although, I wouldn't order crab cakes at a bar, he's not wrapped right so don't take his word for it.

Now that was a lot of negativity for a place that probably doesn't deserve to get railed like that.  Since I can't add levity to this review by showing pictures of hot girls wearing the Black Sheep T-shirts here are the really good things I have to say about the bar.  The place is really authentic looking and they have a great beer selection.  The staff was super nice and bar friendly, like airplane friendly but you're paying them instead of being forced to sit next to them.  The ambiance is nice withe their huge windows that over look the street and any place with a red telephone booth in it is awesome in my book.  If its crowded enough go for a make out sesh, you can call your mom when you're done!

All in all, the Black Sheep is not a bad place at all.  It was the cool place that ended up having a giant pink elephant in the room.  I guess I was just spoiled by that one great experience.  Like any black sheep it's going to stand out for better or for worse.  And like an ugly duckling its going to have its off days until turns in to a beautiful swan (I also do not know what I meant by that, I was just flowin', go with it).  I hope that the next time I come back it feels like Groundhog Day and I can repeat my first awesome experience ad nauseam.

Black Sheep has a fun, pub atmosphere with the traditional pub fare food. Prices are somewhat high and although I haven't tried much from the menu, I must say that I am a fan of their traditional Cornish pasties and scones here. The scones are little pricey ($4)  for the size they give, but they come out warm and buttery and with two little cups of jam and clotted cream. The fact that they come out in twos also makes you feel less sad when the first one is devoured :)  The pasty is around $7 I believe and it comes out looking like a little puff pastry purse, waiting to reveal its meaty-potatoy goodness inside.
I only come here for these two things and since I'm underage, I can't say much about the drinking part of the pub. For taste, I give it 4 stars, but for service, tasteless table bread, prices, and  inconsistency, I give it only 3-stars.

I love this place! Every time I return to Ashland, I am elated to go back to Black Sheep. I look forward to the food and the atmosphere!

Black Sheep makes British food tasty. Moreover, there is a variety of dishes, including creative vegetarian fare on old favorites, such as their vegetarian shepherd's pie (my favorite) and other dishes that incorporate tofu. There are options for everyone and the portions are substantial (no pun intended on their "substantial salad").

It's a large restaurant with friendly staff and a fun environment. The British decor is well thought out and placed. The libation menu is also full of variety.

This is a fantastic place to go for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or late night. I would be happy if this was the only restaurant and hang-out in Ashland! It's fun to run into the actors who just finished an evening show, and it's generally a great crowd of people who hang out there.

Black Sheep, I still care about you, but I'm going to start seeing other restaurants when I'm in Ashland.  It's not me, it's you.

You used to be a place where I could get a reliable bowl of Irish stew, or a shepherd's pie, and wash it down with pint or two of English ale.  Maybe throw some darts while I was at it.  We've had a lot of fun together, Black Sheep.  Good times.

But now it just seems like you're out to prove the truism that British pub food is bland and, in many cases, kind of nasty.

Maybe it is me, in part -- on my way home from a week on the road and irritated with the impossible parking and mobs of people on the street in Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival  -- but Black Sheep, you just don't send me the way you used to.

The British aren't known for their cooking, so perhaps it is a good thing that they take a few liberties with the cuisine.  Perfectly fine pub food and I really enjoyed my fish-n-chips made with fresh snapper.  Although, I would vote for mushy peas over the healthier option they serve.

This was our casual dinner in Ashland and while the service started off well, we had long gaps near the end of our meal before we could flag down our server to order dessert and get our check.

I think I would like this place more to hang out, listen to music, play darts and throw back a pint of Strongbow.  For a sit down meal, I have many other favorites in town.

There's no place like home,...except for the Black Sheep.  My steadfast old friend whose sturdy bar has provided stability for my giddy, slightly-inebriated frame for so many starry nights.  Even on cloudy southern Oregon nights you will find stars amidst the purple clouds in this vibrant bastion of  eclectic beauty and Old-English poetic charm.

A magical place you are, my dearest Black Sheep.

Oh yeah, the food's good too. ;)

I somehow manage to forget that I like the food at the Black Sheep until I end up there. It's tasty. Try the scones. They're worth the wait.

The Black Sheep is one of those places that changes a lot depending on the time of day.

In the afternoons, it's actually a surprisingly good place to get work done. Relatively quiet, good AC, free WiFi, and a nice view of the plaza.

In the evenings, it can get loud and rowdy, but definately a fun place.

It's still one of the few places in town where you can get a decent meal after midnight.
