I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Â Our waitress was good even though she was the only one on duty on a busy Friday night, and she was bussing too!.
They serve fresh homemade bread for an appetizer. Â (I've been disappointed many times with stale, re-heated, store bought bread in restaurants. Â This was good.)
My husband got the daily special, prime rib. Â They brought it as he ordered it, med rare, and he enjoyed it. Â While the side dishes in a rural Oregon restaurant can be mediocre at best the vegie side and red potatoes served with the prime rib were nicely done. Â (I tried a few bites). Â I went for a lighter selection: a shrimp salad. My salad was made with mixed greens, some good grape tomatoes, and a few other vegies, topped with plenty of baby shrimp. Nothing special, but good none the less.
For dessert I had their bread pudding. Â (Since they bake their own bread I expect this is what happens to the leftovers.) Â I love bread pudding and I liked this, moist and not too sweet. Â It was a big serving and I saved half of it. Â (Hey, I like it for breakfast, too!) Â My husband liked his frozen vanilla yogurt, but I wasn't a fan.
