Blue Moon Cafe

I asked if the ribs were pork or beef.  No one knew. Finally they asked the cook.  He said pork.  I orderd them.  They were beef.  Lemonade was some horrible mix, pinto beans were not good.  On the plus side, very friendly and helpful staff.

Address listed on Yelp seems wrong. On 5 Colina(s) Drive At the intersection of Hwy 285 and Avenida Vista Grande in Eldorado at Santa Fe 87508, next to Phillips 66 station. Tasty Texas barbecue from Buddy, an Austin refugee who runs the kitchen, plus yummy New Mexican dishes, burgers and sandwiches. Also serves an extensive breakfast menu.  The potato salad is awesome -- creamy, with decent chunked of hard boiled egg and skin-on potato. Even the dill pickle slices are fresh and crisp unlike the alien green mushy disks most places serve. Nice pie to finish off.  Seven tables can be crowded at peak hours.  Drive-thru available, but call your order in ahead since this isn't a fast food joint. Google Maps calls the street Colina Drive (without an S) and shows the location too far north -- it is at the traffic light at Avenida Vista Grande.
