Nice place. Clean. Food is pretty good. Service is pleasant and timely. If you're looking for a good selection of tap beer, this is not your place. During my visit, they had a few standards on tap, one of which was Stella. More than happy to wind up here again - there's a few more items on the menu I'd like to try.
Review Source:Nice little pub near my sister's house. Â We stumbled upon it when we were looking for places to eat late that night. Â The place was a decent size area with a small stage and lots of little tables and chairs to sit on. Â They said there would be people singing that night and that they usually do, but when we went they were just playing music.
I actually enjoyed their wings. Â My girl loves ribs, and she asked for extra bbq sauce on the side and they gladly said "sure" no problem. Â I had a couple of coronas and we called it a night after we stuffed ourselves. Â
Staff were super friendly and the place looked like its been around the south amboy area for years. Â Glad to have found a little place like this near my sisters place. Â Its like a hidden gem.
I used to come here with my wife back when I lived in the ol' SA. It's pretty cheap, but the atmosphere is nice. Sometimes they have some old guys playing cover songs, which can be entertaining. They've got big windows that open up wide in the summer and let the breeze in. Everyone's friendly, and you can usually strike up a conversation or two. It's not as old-man-scary as some other places nearby, so it's more accessible for those who may not be in the South Amboy "lived-there-forever" club.
Review Source:This bar is one long room with a cool black and white checkered floor and old fashioned style pendant lamps hanging from the tiled ceiling. People on dates were chatting at the bar, and other locals were enjoying drinks and bbq ribs. The food is really good, they have amazing chicken wings and every saturday a bbq with giant $5 burgers that come with potato salad and corn! The place has great music, live in the pm (there is a small stage) and soul from the radio in the afternoons.
