Decent food, decent prices, and pretty good service. There was some interesting acoustics with the bathroom but overall I'd say that if I'm in Packwood looking for breakfast/lunch out, here is where I'd go.

Good food, but they got overwhelmed really easily when we were here over Labor Day and it was crowded. It was a bit pricey, but considering there weren't a whole lot of choices in Packwood, it wasn't bad. We ate here for breakfast a few different times. The food was pretty decent greasy-spoon type food.
Oh, and there are some funky acoustics going on in the bathroom. Standing in a stall I could hear my family at a table across the room. It literally sounded as though their table was outside the bathroom door- it was clear enough that I could pick out individual voices. My brother said the same thing happened in the men's bathroom.

Well, it's under $10 if you don't order a drink with it.....  Iced tea was $2, and I consider that pricey.  The burger was pretty good and thick.  I ordered potato salad instead of fries. The potato salad wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was pretty good.  The server said the bar makes their own.    What I liked about it was that it wasn't "pickle sweet" like you buy in the store.  I went about 4:30 in the afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all.  I walked to it, as I was staying in a nearby campground.

Although there are very few options in Packwood, this place was surprisingly great!  Free pool table, jukebox, fun local atmosphere, and friendly staff.  Plus their burgers were terrific!  If you happen to be in town on a Wednesday then definitely take advantage of their "Taco Wednesday."  Two  delicious homemade tacos for $2.50, how can you beat that?  Overall, my group loved the place.  The foreigners we had in our group said that they felt they had walked into a "Tarantino Movie."  Local, good service, good food, good ambiance, two thumbs up!

Decent burgers, ok service, good tater tots.  Husband liked the frosty mug for the Mack and Jack's. Very much a local hang out. Gotta love anyplace where the video games involved hunting.

This place was OK in comparison to every restaurant I've ever been to, but considering that this area has extremely few restaurants, it's probably worth eating at. The burgers and beer-batter fries were surprisingly good. The taco salad was m'eh though, with dole salad clearly being used in it.

This is a locals-type bar that serves food. It ain't a pretty place, but the food is good enough to fill that beer gut of yours.

This is a funky bar & grill popular with the locals. Wonderful decor. You have to see it to believe it. The burgers here are great! The fish basket was good too. Good selection of beers. Really efficient and friendly service.

We had some time to kill before our cabin check-in time down the road, so we decided to pop on in to the Blue Spruce. Mainly because it was one of only two bars in the immediate area and it looked the least shady.

We came in around 12:30 and we were the only people there. This surprised me because I don't know what else there is to do in town besides shop at the overpriced IGA across the street or drink heavily at this bar.

Waitress was very prompt and poured a pretty strong and inexpensive gin and tonic. They had a cute little beer garden/yard with games of Horseshoes, so we went out there to enjoy the sunshine and drink until it was time to head over to the cabin.

I had no problems with the customer service and the place did what it was supposed to do, which was kill time. Next time I am in Packwood (and oh, I WILL be back!), I will be making this place part of my rounds.

Food is good. They should plan better for the holiday weekends and have more servers. Waited over an hour and then got attitude when we asked why the wait.  We've been to Packwood many years for the Memorial day weekend flea market and they never seem to be able to handle the large crowds! For a bi-annual event and limited restaurant choices they should plan better or hire happier people. Food was yummy so if you're not in a hurry stay for a big burger!

Had great beers on tap and the food was pretty good as well. Its definitely worth a stop on your way down the mountain from skiing.

    I'm conflicted.

The Blue Spruce is pretty much the only bar in Packwood, unless you go to the pizza restaurant or diner, so this is where we ended up both nights we were in Packwood.

Most of the food we had was surprisingly very good, except the boys did not like the steaks on Sunday Steak Night. I had a grilled chicken burger with tots my first night, which I devoured and the second night, I had a chicken dinner meal with a salad, garlic toast and a mashed potato. Prices were also reasonable - all the meals were under $10 and a ton of food.

Service, however, is where I was left unhappy. The waitresses had such attitudes! We ordered jello shots, and she threw them at us! After we had spent $160!

Also, their beer selection wasn't too great. Coors and Bud is what you'll find here. blech.

First, their just is not that many places to eat in Packwood (we were there for some SCCA races) so we ended up at the Blue Spruce.  This place works I guess if you have the proper expectations.

Burger was good.  But there is not much else there I would consider ordering and very little on the healthy side.  Beers were fine.  VERY limited scotch or tequilas, but the house scotch was not bad.

Oh, man. They make a mean burger at Blue Spruce...super delish. Had something mixed into the mayo that made it slightly sweet and tangy and I couldn't get enough of it. Play some pool, throw some quarters in the jukebox, and have them mix you and cheap drink. Great dive bar/restaurant to grab a meal or hang for the evening.

One of the Top 5 burgers I've ever had. I hate mayo, but seriously, whatever they put in the blend is enough to make me switch to the other side (liking mayo, that is). Steak fries (battered is too much, really) are perfect as a side pick and pass up the "Washington apple" drink and sip on a plain ol' G&T or Rainier brew.
Cindy is a great waitress - a little flaky, but endearing nonetheless.
Jukebox: 9 plays for $2 and all the classics are there!
It's the place to be for dinner in Packwood, for sure.
