  Reopened. ... New name is 3 crabs and a Mermaid. ... Very much in keeping with the review of Mark N. 850 638 FISH. They have added tvs and is a sports grille type of atmosphere.

  This was taken over by new owners and is now called "Bluz Oyster & More" (phone 850 638 3500).. Anyways, this is a very simple, very southern little place.. The menu is mostly seafood with an emphasis on fried stuff, although grilled fish (e.g. grouper) is an option and they serve oysters in various ways I think.. I had a fried oyster po boy with a salad and cheese grits.. The cheese grits were the real deal. The oysters were good, the po boy was fairly uninspired in terms of the manner in which it was prepared (just lettuce, pickles, onions, and tomatoes on so-so french bread and the fried oysters, nothing else..) The batter in which the oysters had been fried appeared to have some seasoning , however.. They serve sweet tea, in keeping with the southern feel. Chipley is a sleepy little town with few options..  I wish the menu included things like collard greens or okra as side items options in addition to much less original side items like french fries.. This place needs some creativity.. The service was good and very friendly..
