I come up to Ojai and once a month to go to Bart's and stop at Bohemia Coffee House.  Excellent mochas and nice place to hang out.

Tara's Latte, with honey and cinnamon, is uniquely delightful. Bright colorful space and a friendly staff. Plus, plentiful parking in the lot in the back. Bohemia Coffee House is the real deal with wi-fi and a comfortable, super-chill local flavor.

Bohemia is my favorite Ojai coffee shop.  There are many things that come together to make a good coffee shop for me - pleasant/comfortable atmosphere, music that's interesting but not too distracting, good hot chocolate with milk alternatives, good cell coverage so that my wifi hotspot works well (I need a secure connection to be able to do work for my clients), and munchies that are tasty but not overly decadent.  Bohemia definitely fits the bill in all ways!

Nice ambience. I showed up at 3 pm for iced tea and discovered they have organic tropical tea, my favorite. A local crowd sat under a nice art collection. Gotta love a place with a piano, which isn't a chain, and that provides pleasant service. My new go- to spot in Ojai with free wifi  and an outdoor table.

This is a great coffee house! The owner is extremely an all around fabulous and laid-back guy. They also have an open mic for poetry on Thursday nights (hosted by Tree Bernstein). Am definitely going again with my Babes (performance group).

Bohemia has become my place to grab a cup of joe in Ojai. They serve Beacon coffee, which is the premier local roaster in Ventura County. It is nice to see local businesses supporting each other. The pour over is consistently delicious, with each bean expressing its distinct taste. The espresso is very good, on the tangy side, and enjoyable. I usually enjoy my coffee plain and black, but did sample one of Bohemia's sweet drinks on a cold day. It was the Neapolitan Latte. The drink comes out in a clear glass mug so you can see the three layers: pink milk (strawberry), then coffee with milk (chocolate), and steamed milk (vanilla) on top. Not bad for a dessert drink.

The location in downtown Ojai is convenient, and there is parking in the back. The service has been friendly and efficient when I was there during the day. The inside is colorful, although a bit cramped at times. The wi-fi is free but comes from Jim and Rob's next door. Unfortunately, the signal is slow and weak.

Overall, Bohemia is a wonderful addition to the Ojai coffee scene.

Those of us who work in the Ojai area mainly populated by Carrows and the Starr Market were SO excited when Bohemia finally opened.  The coffee is good...especially the lattes delivered in distinctive cups made by Ojai potter, Frank Masserella (sorry Frank, if I misspelled your name) Baked goods are delicious and the assortment seems to change daily. But I have to say you'd better make sure you have plenty of time before going in there for your morning coffee. Their pour-over technique seems to slow down the delivery system and you can stand around a long time before getting on your way. Love the owner and when he's there, the place runs really well. When he's not, not so much.

This place is, as far as I can tell, all style and very, very little substance. Let me explain:

We went in there a few nights ago and ordered a couple of very simple to make drinks. We accomplished this by interrupting the three, young women behind the counter that were jabbering intently to each other and TOTALLY IGNORING us.

GET IT TOGETHER, GIRLS! You were loud, rude and totally inattentive.

The drinks took at least 10 minutes to arrive, as the girls were deep in their own conversations and not making the order. And what were they talking about? Why they were scheming about how they were going to "make up fake Yelp profiles" and "write good reviews about (their) cafe!" Hahahaha!

    Really!?!

The drinks, when they did arrive, were very so-so. Nothing special, and tepid. Jesus!

What is it with Ojai coffee house owners that seemingly requires them to hire and not train the narcissistic airheads that refuse to do their jobs? Really shop owners, is it that you can't afford to get good help, or that you too don't give a rat's ass about your customers, just their money? O-Hi Frosty got ripped down just to build this sad excuse for a coffee house?

My advice: Go to the Coffee Connection in MO for excellent service and great coffee-Well made coffee drinks by folks that genuinely care. It's worth the bike ride.

i loved this place!  i love my green tea matcha lattes but i usually make them at home because all the coffee houses use a powder that is already mixed with white sugar (yuck!)- and they usually top it off with even more sugar via some kind of syrup.  but when i came here and asked if they could make the matcha without sugar they said yes and even told me that the powder was sugar-free- YAY!  so i ordered one and it was delish.  i also got a blueberry scone- which i never get because they also tend to be saccharine sweet- but we were visiting from out of town and i needed to eat something.  turns out the scone was low sugar (not labeled that way though) and it was divine.  i was so pleased with my experience here we came back two more times before we left ojai.

they also make really great brewed teas in a very artistic fashion- you get to watch them steep it at the end of the barista bar with pretty pottery cups collecting your brew.  and the place is decorated with children's art which makes the place even more unique and fun.

clearly i loved this place and will be back next time i am in ojai!

Ojai has been in need of a good coffee shop for a long, long time, and Bohemia so far has delivered. They do a pretty good espresso, pour-over, and cold-brew. Their bagels are the best I've had (seriously), and they have some interesting pastries. Definitely the best spot in town. I give it 4 stars since it can't quite compete with the likes of the French Press, Intelligentsia, and others (yet) but I don't feel bad about paying for their coffee at all!

Had anticipated trying Bohemia as I watched it being put together. There is always a need for a good cup of Joe at all hours of the day. Enjoyed the well-lit ambience. Like the fact that the owner, because his coffee shop is independant and local, is able to support performing and fine artists in true "Bohemian" style. .  . How fun! Great art/photography on the walls. Watched a local singer-songwriter perform. The sound in that room is VERY performer friendly. One can hear quite nicely in the back of the house. The barista's make a great cup of coffee served in locally hand-made coffee cups. They also carry tea served in very unique tea pots. A nice selection of baked goods including bagels is available. Bohemia could easily become a local fixture. Can't wait until I go back.
