Do yourself a favor and go get a steak sandwich right about now...
Didn't care for the fries, smaller stringy and a bit undercooked for my taste. Reminds me of steak and shake fries if that helps....just not my favorite.
Good beer and food specials weekly and great wings too. Staff is nice and friendly and place is large enough you shouldn't have to wait for a table usually. Can get busy, but most of the time an easy trip for lunch, sit at the bar, watch your delicious sandwich made in front of your eyes on the flat top and let your taste-buds know they are in for a real treat.
This place has been around forever, but, I haven't been there in years. Â The other day my husband and I were out running errands and decided to stop by. Â The place hasn't changed a bit....I mean, NOT A BIT! Â I say this in the nicest of ways - the place could use a coat of paint and a good cleaning. Â And I don't mean enough to ruin the charm of the place, but, at least clean off the stickiness off the menus. Â
That being said - it is the best steak sandwich you will sink your teeth into. Â I swear. Â The bread is perfect, the steak is sliced ribeye - perfectly seasoned with fresh mushrooms and onions. Â We split a large sandwich and an order of onion strings. Â The onion strings were simple but delish, not, greasy. Â They don't come with a sauce which made us nervous at first, but honestly you didn't need anything on them.
We also ordered a cup of Jambalaya. Â We never got it. Â When I told the server, he apologized and asked if we wanted it - we said no, not at this point. Â He then asked us if we wanted it taken off the bill (he was serious)! Â
I'll go back - like I always do, because the food is that good. Â :)
