Boonville Lodge is now called Boonville Saloon with Mis Potrancas restaurant next door. Tom moved Restaurant to old Brewey site down the street and is called Buckhorn.

This place is GREAT. In an old house nicely re-done. Very cozy. Comfy room and nice decor. We were there in December and they had a fire going, so of course we had to sit in front of it and read while having a drink! We also had dinner here...delicious! We just got one of everything off the menu (it was small plates night...) and am glad we did, as we enjoyed every last bit. Next time we are in Boonville, we'll be back with out a doubt, and are looking forward to it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the term "boonies" came from Boonville; there's not a whole lot going down in this town besides beer brewing and heehawing. (Though their residents created their own dialect to deter outsiders.)

There is one spectacular thing on this patch of 128, and that's the Lodge. The name is misleading. (The only people here getting shut eye would be the ones passed out on the floor from liquor or food coma.) It's half super-dive, beer parephernalia, dingy bathrooms and all, and half shiny new restaurant with a solid pub food and mint plasmas blaring loud football. If you ask me, it's the perfect whole.

Go to grub. The fish and chips were plump, golden delicious and just the right crispy. My plate of pasta primavera gave me Olive Garden fantasies, the portion was just that monstrous. The prices were pretty damn high though, $17 for a chicken pasta dish? Puh-lease. But relative to the other pickings this spot on the globe, in addition to the sweet server, I won't be trucking through without a visit.

Don't stop 'till the button pops.

We had a great dinner here. The onion rings killed! They were lightly battered and freshly cut! The fries were huge and piled high! The jalapeni poppers were well worth the add on! I have to say that for pub style dinner in a quiet and friendly atmosphere, this was worth the trip!

Beautiful, spacious rooms with huge tubs and balconies.  Dinner at the restaurant was fabulous with very friendly staff and a great wine selection.
