To be honest, there are not a whole lot of restaurants in the Anderson Valley. It is small and a very tight-knit community. But this does not mean you will be lacking in terms of wine, beer, food, and hospitality. Libby's is one of the few restaurants in the valley that serves dinner. The food is terrific! I am always amazed at how Mexican food in wine country (Napa, Sonoma, Anderson Valley, Paso Robles, etc.) on average is a lot better than the Mexican food you find around the bay area. Libby's is no exception. They open at around 5pm and if you have a large party or are in the valley during a weekend event you best make reservations. They have may A. Valley wines and a great beer selection. I really like their burritos, carnitas, and deserts. Usually the specials are terrific... but I can't seem to deviate from my go to dishes. You will not be dissapointed!
Review Source:We live in the PHX area and frequent New Mexico quite a bit. Â So, we love our Mexican food and prepared in so many variations. Â After wine tasting in the area, we were looking for a good restaurant. Â We inquired at several wineries and a brewery and they all suggested Libby's. Â When we found out it was a Mexican restaurant....so unexpected, we were all for it!
It was a Tuesday night, so not very many patron's, the service was a little on the slow side as it was only what seemed as the family working that evening. Â Once we got our drinks and ordered........man o man, it was absolutely delicious. Â The flavors in each of our dishes, they know what they are doing. Â Generous portions...nice surprise, we had left overs which we used for breakfast the next day. Â
This place is no frills, but great food. Â We had friendly service and for a table of 5 with drinks only came out to 90.00 bucks w/o tip. Â Not too shabby for the wine country.
