Ate here tonight and could not have been more disappointed. We were sat with no silverware, waited 10 mins for our waiter, waited 45 mins for our food, had to go ask the cook for silverware since the manager failed to bring it to us. After we complained the manager said it wasn't his fault and didn't take anything off the bill, except of course the military discount. Never eating here again
Review Source:My husband and I ate at Boston's last night and I must say everything was great!the food was nice n hot and fresh and the drinks we had were great as well.the waitress we had was constantly checking on us and the hostess was very inviting as well.the bathroom wasn't the cleanest but would def recommend the food and mixed drinks!
Review Source:The food here is decent and the staff is very nice. My reason for the two-star rating is two reasons:
1) The place is NEVER clean. I've touched the side of the table and found it sticky and nasty. The coasters are used over and over again (nastiness). Like I want to put my nice fresh drink on a nasty, shriveled up paper coaster that needs to be tossed out. Seriously, I've never been given a new coaster in the three times I've been here. The dinners cost enough, can't you afford a new coaster for each guest? Should we reuse our napkins too!?!?!
2) When we visited on a Wednesday night, we sat in the main dining area and ALL NIGHT, the smoke from outside came into the dining room. We may as well have been sitting on the patio. I don't know if this is a ventilation problem or what, but this needs to be remedied. There's no smoking in the bar and the doors are closed from the bar to the dining room. HOW IS IT SMELLING LIKE SMOKE!?!?!?! Many patrons complained, including us, and a manager was never seen. Nice.
I have been to Boston's The Gourmet Pizza restaurant (Killeen, TX) before and enjoyed the overall experience, but I was visiting the bar area and didn't indulge in the main menu that they had to offer. Â This visit was different so I got to experience what the regular menu had to offer. Â I ordered the Shrimp Diablo Pasta off of the Healthy Hits sub-menu and my fiance had the Asian-Glazed Salmon for our main course. Â Both items looked very appealing from the menu, but the actual product was not so pleasant. Â
The Diablo pasta wasn't spicy at all. Â The sauce was more of a marinade rather than a freshly made spicy sauce. Â The pasta and shrimp was cooked very well, but the overall flavor and presentation of the meal was fair to say the least. Â I would give this meal a 2 of out 5 stars with 5 being the best.
The Asian-Glazed Salmon had a very good overall flavor to hit, but unfortunately, the fish was a little undercooked. Â The presentation was great and the rice with broccoli was cooked perfectly, but then again, $18 for just perfectly cooked rice and broccoli isn't my ideal meal. Â Overall 1 out of 5 stars with 5 being the best.
The price of the meal - Too expensive! Â We had 2 beers (bottled), the Boston Nachos, and 2 Entrees that came out to a whopping $46 not to include the tip. Â I have priced a few spots around the Killeen, TX area and you can eat at a Restaurant down the street with the same style of meal that we had (specialty drinks instead of beer) for around $35 with a better atmosphere and better service.
Last, but not least - Service and Cleanliness of this Boston's. Â The service was mediocre at best. Â Our waitress wasn't very attentive or very friendly, however, she was very thorough and accurate with our orders. Â She did have a big area to cover, but I felt she could have had a better attitude. Â Cleanliness of the restaurant was fair. Â The worst part was that the restaurant smelled like it had been cleaned with a wet dirty rag. Â I've worked in the food service business before and realize how tough it is to clean, etc, but I expected a little more especially with the stench.
If they didn't have "Gourmet Pizza" on the sign, I would probably rate this place higher. Â But calling what I ate "gourmet" is an insult to the art of fine food. Â I come from a city with two spectacular gourmet pizza places. Â Places where things like Prosciutto, feta, smoked cheddar, three kinds of olives, pine nuts, Gorgonzola, and Ricotta are all options to "build your own". Â Needless to say the limited toppings (all fairly generic) that Boston's offered left me less than impressed.
Add to all that the bad cases of indigestion hubby and I both left with and I don't think we'll be back. Â They should call it "Boston's Mediocre Pizza" Â Then at least you know what you're getting.
Wife and I recently visited this particular eatery and we both enjoyed are meals. We were bit hesitant at first on where to actually eat, Boston's won out because neither one of us had ever eaten their before. My wife ordered the Twisted Mac n Cheese...This isnt your everyday dish of Mac N Cheese, it was ridiculously Creamy, Cheesy, and Zesty. You can tell the restaurant took this dish and made it their own. I enjoyed the BBQ Bleu Burger on their  New Gourmet Specialty Burger menu. We hope to revisit this place soon and eat more of what they have to offer.....
Review Source:I can't imagine someone saying it was so bad they couldn't even call it pizza. I actually think it's some of the best in the area...and I really love pizza. The atmosphere was fun- they have a lot of outdoor patio seating, a pool table, bar, and lots of space. Our waitress was really attentive and friendly. We had the tuscan pizza, and were both really impressed with it!
Review Source:Pretty good! We came here the other night to watch the football game because pluckers was way too busy, and we were really pleasantly surprised! The pizza was so good, and we got really good service. They have a bar area where you can get loud and no one will mind, and also a nice, quiet restaurant area. It was really cold in the bar area though! I recommend the tuscan pizza, very good!
