I bowled here for the first time with my boyfriend on Saturday night while we were vacationing in Big Bear. We were excited that the bowling alley was all cosmic bowling but when we got up to the counter the price made us want to turn away. It was $40 or more to bowl 2 games with 2 shoe rentals. Maybe I'm just used to my local bowling alley's being reasonable. Since there's not much to do up there they probably charge that price cause they know they'll get it. The place was pretty packed, all lanes were full. We had to wait a few mins for our lane which wasn't bad. The older gentleman at the counter was alright, I felt like he didn't care to be there and was short with us... At times pretended to not see us in the beginning. The bowling was fun but too find a bowling ball you like was a little difficult. People with only a few people in there group would take like 10 of them. I'm little and can't lift a lot and was almost stuck with one of heaviest ones. Luckily the people next to us left so I used one of there's and put the rest back like everyone should do. It was also really warm in there, almost too warm. They played music videos from 20+ years ago which was cool. I'd probably come back if I couldn't find something else to do up there.

Went bowling here 20130223 on a trip with a few friends before PCS'ing to Oklahoma, we finished 1 and a half games before 1 of our 2 lanes was shut off, I politely asked why our lane was shut off, and the cashier replied very rudely that one of our group did not pay, I ignored the attitude and asked my group who did not pay, all of us had paid and when we asked for a refund for ONLY the game we were not able to finish the cashier initially agreed but upon return of our shoes refused the refund. On top of them shorting us the initial refund, the cashier and another two employees were laughing at us while we exited. The employees are very unprofessional and shady, none of our group will be returning. If you're looking for a fun stress-free environment to bowl this is not the place.

This review will only be toward the Alley Sports Bar inside of the Bowling Barn. The workers throughout the establishment were fine, nothing outstanding and nothing terrible

Since there is not much to do in Big Bear at night, the family and I decided to bowl together. After ordering food (which was not very great but what do you expect from a bowling alley) me and the old lady wanted to get some drinks in us. Awesome prices on drinks, but there was a slight annoyance from the bartender this particular night. I wanted to treat my girlfriend and her sister to a drink so I asked for 2 drinks, the bartender replied that I can only buy one drink because I don't know who else you are buying it for. Gf and I were compliant and understood her request, so I only bought a drink for myself, which really ended up being a drink for her sister. Shortly after, my gf wanted another and the bartender said wait 15 minutes. Although employees are required by California by law to take breaks, the bar was not crowded and she was already behind the counter, which only meant pure utter laziness.

This wasn't the only thing that this bartender had the nerve to do, she then came over to our alley and asked to see my gf's nephews ID. As I was thrown off on this weird request she then accused me of trying to buy him a drink earlier. I understand that underage drinking is not right, and that I need to follow the law, but the fact of the matter was I am following the law and this pathetic woman had nothing better to do then to implicate that I was down right buying a minor a drink. She was so confident and so sure that I am doing something wrong, and wanted to look like some sort of saint to the Big Bear community in front of a simple angelic big bear family.

Hey lady how about do your job and serve drinks, the Midori you made for my gf's sister who is in her 30's enjoyed your drink, because apparently that's all your good at.
