20 years ago...this was a great place to go on a date or special occasion.
Today, I returned to take my mother and wife out for brunch.
Absolute disappointment. The meals were pre and poorly made. Not sure how my meal qualified to be priced at $24.95. Definitely won't return ever again.

My wife and I visited Braddock's during the Medford Christmas Dickens Festival and we had a perfect dinner.  The food was excellent!!!  We started with the fried calamari which was perfectly fried, was well seasoned and the calamari was FRESH!!! To have fresh calamari and not rubbery nonsense is nice because I feel like I cant remember the last time I had calamari this good!!  For  our second course we had soup.   My wife had a roasted pepper soup which was very good and I had French Onion soup which was perfect.  The best French Onion Soup I have had in a long time as well.  I am a French Onion Soup snob too and I was just telling my wife the other day that I can't remember the last time I had memorable FO Soup....well Braddock's was very memorable.  For our dinner course I had a perfectly cooked medium Braddock's burger with bacon, cheese, fried onions, lettuce tomato and raw onion.  I cut the burger in half and it could of been a model for what a great burger looks like.  Every ingredient including the snowflake roll was perfect and french fries were great as well.  My wife had the Chicken Oscar and she loved everything as well.  We definitely will be going back and since I was a long time Medford resident who has moved North I am very happy to see a Medford landmark like Braddock's putting out great food.  I know we didn't eat a fine dining type meal but it was perfect and then we walked outside and enjoyed the great holiday atmosphere of the Dickens Festival!!l  I know I used the word perfect a lot during this review but that's how I felt during and after dinner.

Good food, great ambiance... good service. I'm glad I'm not a vegetarian, because there really weren't many non-meat options, but I love my meat so it wasn't a problem! They have some great drinks, so I may just hit the place up for the bar next time instead of food. It's a cute place to take a date or a friendly lunch/dinner out.

Came here fairly early, around 4pm on a weekday, so it was very quiet.  The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy.  My date and I split calamari and their signature mac and cheese for appetizers and both were divine.  The calamari was perfectly tender and paired with a mango sriracha dipping sauce that was outrageously good.  Mac and cheese was super rich and creamy and topped with crispy breadcrumbs.  For our main courses, my date ordered the salmon BLT, which was served with three thick cut slices of very smoky bacon *yum* and topped with breaded and deep fried leeks on a bed of stewed tomatoes.  The leeks, not so great, so he pushed them aside.  They were overdone and had the texture of the tough, inedible outer skin on an onion.  The rest of the dishes elements were tasty and not too heavy.  I had the Chicken Oscar which was amazing.  Chicken breast on a bed of mashed potatoes with lump crabmeat, asparagus and prosciutto in a heavenly lemon dill bur blanc.  The bur blanc was so good I could have ordered just a side of it and drank it straight.  Our fresh brewed iced tea, which is a staple between the two of us when we dine, was very good, and our waitress was very attentive with refills.

All in all, it was a very pleasant experience, and we will be back very soon!

Greasy but fancy bar food. Nice beer selection and no great wines (what you would expect for a bar). Atmosphere is good and friendly, and they have a few tables outside. Good crab cakes, but no vegetarian options except for salad or mac&cheese.

We had been driving by Braddock's Tavern for years and wanted to stop. A tavern should mean pleasant reasonably priced food. IT WAS NOT! Nor was it good food. I had a caesar salad that was nothing special and not included in the overpriced menu. The Diver Scallops served on a bed of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were nice, several scallops were over cooked - but again nothing special. $29 My dinner partner had rib-eye steak. $32. While the steak was cooked nicely, the sauce was so overly salted that he scraped it all off the steak and the steak was still over-powered with salt. When we were reviewing the menu we noticed sides were listed separately. We immediately thought that meant the sides with the dish were small and each ordered one extra side. I had latkes ($5) that were so over-salted they were unpleasant, bordering on inedible. A diner near us ordered the latkes as well and I heard him complaining how salty they were. My friend had the risotto.($6?) It was mushy and devoid of anything but cheesiness. The were unpleasantly served on platter that made them appear as appetizing as oatmeal. The rice was overcooked and not the correct rice for a good risotto. My friend only ate a few bites asked for it to be boxed and purposely left it on the table. Neither of us ordered drinks other than iced tea, yet the bill was $96. $96 for overall bad food and no bar drinks. They should be ashamed. We should have looked at the menu before entering.

I was worried about being a vegan for their buffet event. But they were able to tell me which were vegan, and cut the price in half because there were only three items. And when my mom complained about no creme bulee on the buffet table, they made her one special. The green bean almondine was tasty.

I have been coming to Braddock's for years.  While it's not the fine dining destination it once was, it's still a solid choice for a quiet evening meal, or a nice drink and appetizer in the cozy pub area.

The place is rustic and candle lit, a little scruffy from years of use, but the folks who work there are friendly and the drink prices are pretty good.  The food varies from solid (burger) to homey (mac and cheese) to excellent (turkey meatloaf).  The portions are not exactly generous, but not small either, but everything is a touch pricy.

I have not had an entree in a while, but the new owners (who also own the Ott's chain) have cut the menu down a bit from the previous.  Other diners say the veal Burlington is still the star of the menu.

The wine selection by the glass is good for the part of the world, though the craft beer revolution is still happening here, with just one Yards and one Victory tap to balance out a Sam Adams seasonal and some other crap.

The crowd is a cross section of Burlington County, from farmers out for a special night on the town, to soccer moms having a few martini drinks to a few rugged regulars at the rail in the afternoon.

Ultimately the thing that makes the place 3 stars instead of 2 is the staff.  Jessica and Colleen are fun and chatty but can hustle drinks and work the room with the best of them.  The rest of the wait staff is friendly, attentive and knowledgeable and make the evening a good time.

This is a very nice building and space of a business, however I was disappointed with the quality of food for the price. I guess they think they can get away with it in Medford, NJ where they are lacking fine-dining establishments.

My boyfriend and I ordered the seared ahi tuna and jumbo shrimp from the bar as appetizers. These were good, but extremely overpriced for the amount of food we were given (4 pieces per order). After ordering the tuna and only having two pieces since my boyfriend I split it the appetizer -I was craving more fresh tuna and ordered the tuna burger  which came with a honey glaze andbutter lettuce - rare as it should be. Maybe they don't sell enough of these, but that's not an excuse - the tuna was definitely not fresh. I took one bite and couldn't stomach the rest. I took it home to my cats and even they hesitated. If they ever want to redo their menu - call me up.
My suggestion: fresh tuna topped with seaweed salad in a citrus vinagrette - nix the roll all together.

I was happy to find that they carried some beers from Yard's Brewing Co. however, there wasn't much of a selection beyond that. We are in a brewery-rich area of the country and so more should be recognized. I would love to see more of a variety of breweries and seasonal styles.

The clientele wasn't anything to write home about. Just middle-aged men who never figured out what would really make them happy and decided to drown their sorrows in a "coors light served in a pint glass".

My boyfriend and I have been here three times now and have tried much of the food on both the restaurant menu and the bar menu.

If you like mussels, you MUST get them here.  We ordered the time we ate at the bar, so not sure if they are on the restaurant menu as well.  The mussels were cooked perfectly and came out in a bowl that included chorizo and all kinds of other delicious additions to the red sauce they were in.  My boyfriend and I were fighting over the last ones.

My boyfriend ordered the Mac & Cheese once and on our last trip there, wished he would have gotten it again.  Instead, he ordered the Braddock's Burger and wasn't impressed.

I ordered the scallops from the restaurant menu (the one time we ate upstairs) and they were gigantic.  If you're a fan of huge scallops that are sponge-like and squishy, then you would like these.  However, I like smaller scallops cooked a bit more so they are not like sponges.  I wouldn't order the scallops again.

Braddock's makes good Dirty Martinis.  Not stingy with the vodka!

I like this place and will be sure to go back soon.

All I have to say is the BYO Mac and Cheese is absolutely phenomenal.  Had it with andouille sausage and roasted red peppers but I'm sure it would be fantastic with any of the other options (Lobster, chicken, green peas, broccoli). The other food was good too, but this was the highlight.

One of my fav pastimes is to spend time hanging out here!! The staff are always pleasant and make it a point to make you feel that coming there to dine is the right move. On more than one occasion, the owners have come to tbe table to say hello and to see how everything is going. Dinner here is superb!!! I've had the Mac n cheese for lunch, it's pretty tasty. Their chocolate mousse is outstanding!!!! They have decent drinks also. A great place to host celebrations, retirements. They have separate areas to accommodate large groups for these kind of events.

We took my Grandmother here for brunch and overall were satisfied with the experience. We had a reservation but when we arrived we were directed towards a private party where people were celebrating a wedding shower or something. It took us a few minutes to finally track someone down to explain that we weren't with the party. Once that was  straightened out we were taken up two flights of stairs, an issue for my 77 yr. old Gram who had her knee replaced 3 weeks prior, to a large empty room with not a single diner in it. We sat on the small enclosed porch area which was nice but completely empty. Our server was inexperienced and didn't pay us much attention, even though we were the only people in the entire restaurant, aside from the party.  The food was good, a bit forgettable, and definitely much pricer than the portions and quality would lead you to believe.  We had a great time, but I am sure that the company was 99% the reason for that.  I probably wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again.

Been here few times, my girlfriend had her wedding reception here. It was nice, quaint, not too big..& the food was exceptional. Very , very flavorful, and the cake, OMG!! Shaved chocolate on the outside, with this raspberry cream filling, very airy & light!! Too bad, the marriage didn't last, but sure was great reception. Good place for good food, drinks!!!

Maybe I'm biased because I live within walking distance of Braddock's Tavern but I really like the place. I've been here on several occasions over the years for different events and such, had my first real dinner here last winter, and last week I attended happy hour and it was indeed happy. But then again, every time I've been to Braddock's I have not been disappointed, whether its a mass produced meal for a breast cancer luncheon or a fancy dinner with my spinster aunt. It's an old historic building with lotsa charm and good people working there. The food can be a little on the pricey side, but if you eat in the bar area they have a different, cheaper menu. If you live close by or are in the area it's definitely a place to check out. My only regret is that I didn't take advantage of this place more often, now that I'll be moving in a month :(

We had our wedding reception here 4 years ago and just went back for our anniversary.  It was a little crazy, as the power went out in the surrounding businesses that night and this was the only game in town open, but they comped us champagne and even in light of the crowd, our food was great.  My hubby LOVED the oysters, our lobster bisque was yummy, and our entrees were great, as well as the chocolate torte.  And our waitress was really nice!  I highly recommend it if you're ever in that neck of the woods.

This place is average at best.
The risotto was too mushy for my taste.
The seafood, not as fresh as I would like for the price
Maybe I am too used to Northern California cuisine to appreciate the taste of South Jersey's Braddocks tavern.

The historical atmosphere is fantastic, and the food was much better than I even expected - and I had high expectations!  We took my wife's grandmother to dinner at Braddock's and our server was more than helpful and polite, she took the energy and time on a busy night to make sure we were having a good time.  I wish I had taken the time to walk around to see the place more, as I love historical homes, but we'll definitely be back!

My high school graduation itself was largely a snooze, but leaving behind thirteen yrs of angst and peers calls for extreme celebration. And if you want a belly full of happy, Braddock's is thee place to go.

While it has been several yrs, I still occasionally dream of Braddock's, that sweet private upstairs room where my family gathered to feast and moreso the Feast itself.

Silence settled into that room with the arrival of each course. Everyone was pleased. Was this possible? I think I had the calamari appetizer, a treat of subtle flavors when made right. Even the salad, which to many in my family serves as light relief before the entree, was well received. Oh, and I will never ever forget the spoonful of creamy potato soup my aunt allowed me. Heavenly warmth, thy name might be Braddock's cream of potato soup.

When it came to entrees, everyone ate a little of every else's dish. They were all amazing. The scene was reminiscent of a cheerful banquet; the food took over senses and stomachs and no one could think to be contrary.

Mm, and the chocolate dessert. It was delicious, not too heavy or overwhelming. That was also the first time I tasted creme brulee. It really is satisfying to crack the sugary surface. I am still left wondering if any creme brulee will ever compare.

My wife and I were passing through town on a Friday evening and decided to stop in for dinner.  The downstairs was a bar that must be pretty popular, because it was packed.  The upstairs has a dining room that is set up for fine dining.  We wound up sitting on the upstairs front porch that overlooked the main street.   The food and service was excellent.  My wife ordered the divers scallops with artichoke risotto and a shiitake mushroom broth which was excellent.  The scallops were tender and perfect, and the artichoke risotto was delicious,  I ordered the Panatella pasta which was an extremely wide flat pasta with crab, Maine lobster, Jersey tomato, asparagus, olive oil, and fresh basil. That is a heck of a combination and It actually tasted better than it sounds. We ordered deserts and coffee and they were also excellent.  My wife got creme brulee and I got the bananas Foster Sunday,  both were very good.

We will definitely be eating here again.

I've been here at least a hundred times.  I think it's been around at least 100 years.  It's in the heart of Medford on Main Street where all of the quaint, nostalgic and times past stores are located.

They recently changed their menu which was at first disapppointing but it was probably time to freshen it up - don't get me wrong - everything on their menu was way above average and they still carry some of the same things but have added and changed other things.

Their menu is extensive.  They have (one of my fav apps) the seafood puff pastry (talk about calories) - it's a very small puff pastry baked to perfection with seafood inside and a light cheese type sauce and it just melts in your mouth.  I have probably had at least 20 different items on their menu since I've been going there and have yet to have a bad meal.

They hold weddings, receptions, showers, holiday functions and more in their reception rooms (they have 2 available depending on the size of the party).

They have the diningroom (formal and traditional setting) and they have their bar and lounge (which is where I usually go) with the TV and high round tables and stools and a great bar which probably seats about 20 people. Great casual setting to meet for a drink and bite after work or even late at night.  Low lighting = nice ambiance.

The drinks are always made just the way I like them (maybe it's because the bartender knows by now how I like my drinks).  They are always friendly and on top of things.  Very accomodating as well...they removed their wedge salad from their menu...I used to love it and asked our waiter if they could still make one for me and they did.

Definitely worth going to whether it's for a formal dinner, lunch or just drinks and apps.

    i photographed a wedding here - beautiful!
obviously the food was amazing, as always.
the decor is very classic and simple. my only complaint - just as a photographer - is how low they turn the lights down. it was hard to take pictures in such low light, especially because the space isn't very big. however, i'm sure that the lighting level could be negotiated.
a great place for a reception!

Braddock's holds a special place in my heart because my brother finally tied the knot here.  The wedding was held in the back reception room and they did a really nice job.  The food was great and everything seemed to run seamlessly, which is a pretty major feat for a party of that size.

I finally had the opportunity to try Braddock's for lunch yesterday afternoon and had a lovely meal.  The seafood souffle was deeelish, and was served with garlic mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked zucchini.  For dessert I had the vanilla bean creme brulee.  Now I must say that I'm not a huge fan of creme brulee.  I like, but it's not my first choice for dessert.  Well, Braddock's is to die for.  Seriously.  It's heaven in a ramekin.

The building is an old historical home that's quaint and cozy, on the Main Street through Medford, a great little town.  There's a bar if you just want to enjoy a cocktail as well as outside seating in the warmer months.

This used to be my favorite area restaurant.  That is, until they systematically removed every single item I liked from the menu.

Seriously -- this place used to feature several of my favorite dishes anywhere -- then they got rid of them.  The Salmon with Capellini and Veal Normandy were to die for.  But they're gone.  Never to return.  It's a shame -- a real shame.  I haven't been back since.

I'm sure the meals are still excellent -- they always were.  The side dishes of escalloped potatoes and vanilla-infused carrots were delicious -- and probably still are.

Braddock's also features some rather interesting "Special Events" like Wild Game Night, or Wine Lover's Night and are all available upon reservation and require pre-payment.

The decor is gorgeous -- you see, Braddock's has been around for a long time -- since 1823, to be precise -- and the building is beautiful.

I don't know...I suppose I should try it again and get over my issues.  If I do, I'll be sure to update my review.
