Braise

After reading everyone's reviews my family and I decided to try this restaurant. first, I would like to say that we were the only people in the restaurant. Second it took over an hour for us to receive our meals. The staff was nice but the food wasn't anything to brag about. I had ordered a hamburger with garlic mashed potatoes.... the potatoes were spicy...why? I have no idea, but it was not what I was expecting. I had tried the pulled pork sandwich as well and it was bland. The BBQ sauce was sweet, even though the waitress stated that it wasn't. Then we ordered the brownie dessert that they have, as well as the cobbler. They paired the brownie with mint ice cream....again we were all wondering why. It was not a good mixture. The cobbler wasn't the best either but better than the brownie. Needless to say I don't believe that we will be going here again.

I'm honestly suprised to see all of the glowing reviews on here for this restaurant as my experience eating here was awful.
The food was awful and overpriced. Our watier was rude and dismissive and we left the majority of the food on the table uneaten because we couldn't stomach it.
Food was undercooked and overseasoned and when I mentioned a problem w/one of the dishes, I was told I just wasn't used to their "balsamic glaze". I guess they know what's in my head....
In all honestly, we came here on a pretty busy night because our first choice restaurants were too crowded. When we pulled in, the parking lot was empty and the dining room had one table being served. In the entire hour (6:30 pm - 7:30pm) that we were there, two other tables came in. That alone should have told us everything we needed to know about this place....
Stick w/the bar downstairs; you'll have a better experience drinking here than eating here!

From reading the other reviews, maybe one on one, this restaurant is better, but for large parties, this place was horrible. They served a limited menu, meatloaf, salmon, and chicken. My wife had the salmon and I attempted the meatloaf. This food was entirely inedible. The salmon was grossly over cooked, salmon isn't whitefish (like they thought it was). The meatloaf was dry, and no sort of gravy was served with it. Curious as to the chef's culinary education? The manager when approached with this issue, was rude and short. Stating that ALL OF HIS FOOD IS GOOD! I simply disagree. He was not willing to do anything about it. I also overheard the manager stating that people in the party overfilled their plates, when going to the buffet style presentation. If this is a problem for this restaurant, then they should not have been lazy and had and employee, tending and serving the buffet. In addition, the buffet ran out three times before the entire party was served. They were told ahead of time how many people would be attending, why did 2/3rds of the party have to wait on food? Let this be a warning to you, if you are looking for this quality of food, go to Ryan's (cheaper and better). If you are looking for quality, choose anywhere else.
