Brann's is the best chain type steakhouse that I have been to, the others hardly compare. The booth seating was comfortable, close to the table so we didn't need to sit and eat with outstretched arms. The inside temperature was reasonably cool, unlike the meat locker cold air typical in restaurants. Â I ordered the porterhouse which turned out to be a perfect alternative to my normal filet mignon; great price, well seasoned and overall very lean and tender. The filet portion was every bit a very tender and tasty 6 ounces. In addition, we had a patty melt on rye which also was excellent. The waitresses were all very young women, which in my experience, tend to provide lacking service. I asked whether they offered a filet since I didn't see it on the menu. In a sign of youth, our waitress said the only item they have in the way of a filet would be perch! Â Actually, albeit a little slow on refills, our young waitress (as well as the hosts) was quite wonderful; friendly, prompt and courteous.
