  C'mon folks, it's in the "dive bar" category and that's what it is. Nothin' fancy, but a good place to shoot pool, throw darts and drink beer.

  pool was cheap
  STD's are free
  other then that small, smelly , smoky , and some "offbeat characters"

  I give it two stars cause I have been in fancier neighborhood bars.  But ( you knew it was coming), if you like cold beer, drinkable wine and a staff that is pretty cool.  "The Brass", as it is known in Mayport, is the place for you.
  
  But don't mess with the girls behind the bar, they don't take any s***, but they will have your back if someone else tries.  They also don't take credit or debit cards,  just cash ma'am.
  
    They don't serve mixed drinks or have fancy restrooms, but here is what they do have.  
  
  Tuesday's is Trivia night ( at least a month ago it was).  If two old guys by the name of Paul and Larry are playing, get on their team.  They know everything!
  Poker and Pot Luck, and Karaoke.  The Pool and Darts Leagues are thriving.  The Brass is geared towards its Navy Patrons ( Mayport Naval Station is a mile away) and the support of the troops is apparent.  They will, however, let us non - military folks in for some of the fun.  It is wheel chair accessible and they let you smoke while you drink.  A novelty these days!
