We love this bar. Â It has a great atmosphere and an awesome patio, with heaters for the smokers. In Wednesdays and Thursdays they have $1.50 domestic beers. I do believe that everyday, there is some sort of special. Entertainment is always decent too. And if you go there when Dawn is working, she will feed you. YUMMY!
Review Source:I keep seeing reviews saying that there's no food served at Brazen.
Tuesdays= Free food at Brazen!!!
The [super friendly] bartenders Tim and Dawn supply the entire bar w/ food for FREE!
And the food is good! =]
[For example, they serve things like;;
Meatball sandwiches, beef sandwiches, pizza,tomato bread...etc]
It's a really chill place, a nice bar to go to if you're looking to actually have a conversation with the people you go with.
Not over crowded and pints are $1.50 on Tuesdays as well.
Definitely a place to consider! =]
A nice average bar in an average suburb. There is no food and the few people I saw the night I went were constantly filling up the juke box. Just a neighborhood bar that looks like it would serve food from driving past it. Noth.iing to special here. It is definately not a dive as they put some money in remodeling the place making it look like a nice boring suburban bar.
Review Source:So my fiancee kept telling me what a dive this place was. I was secretly excited to go to a crazy dive bar. But it turns out that this place is actually a pretty decent bar. Although small, there is a decent amount of seating and quite a few flat screen HD-TV's. When we went on Saturday night, there was a cover bland that was actually pretty good. Sure, there were some townies, but there were no sketchy characters and everyone was very friendly. We heard that this place is sometimes a biker bar, but it appears that on weekends the bikers stay away and the younger people come out.
- Things to note: no food, only chips.
- Cheap-ish drinks (not quite dive bar, but certainly better than the city. Think around $3.50 for an import bottle.
- Not a great draft selection, but decent. The best choice was Smithwick's, I believe. Of course, most people there were just drinking Miller Lite.
- Although there were only a couple bartenders and the place was pretty crowded, they seemed to do a great job of managing the place.
- There is a juke box, but it's obviously turned off when there is a band. The juke box is really pricey though: $1 per song.
So although I was disappointed that this wasn't a trashy dive bar, I was happy that the prices were low and the service was fast. If you're going to be drinking out in Crestwood, you could probably do a lot worse than The Brazen Head.
