Well shortly after my last review a person that said they were the new manager asked me to return because things had changed. A group of friends from work was heading over and I really like most of my co-workers but rarely get to hang out with them so I decided to give it another shot. Yet another in a long line of big mistakes I have made. lol
Where to begin? Well first of all it took 15 minutes to get a drink that was not prepared well at all. All I ordered, by the way, was an Absolute Screwdriver. Child's play right? Well.....not so much! The drink sucked so I switched to beer.
So after finishing the crappy drink and ordering some beer it took another 15 minutes of me there with NOTHING to get the beer. All my friends were suffering too, but they can write their own reviews. Now it comes time to order food. Menus were requested by the table before I even got there and 45 minutes after I arrived we still had no menus. Well menus finally came.
The menu had a small but mighty look to it which I took as a good sign. In my book if you only do a few things then you should do them well right? WRONG! There's an item on there that sounds really inviting called a WET burrito. So after all the poor service I was still hungry so I went for it. It was not horrible but it was only a step or two above Taco Bell. The only saving grace is that it was not overpowered with cilantro like many places are doing today with Latin dishes. But it was a big gooey sloppy pile of remarkably average food if you know what I mean. Gordon Ramsey would have flipped his wig over this thing.
There was a band so we decided to move outside to be able to talk and some of my friends played a game of cornhole. This is when our server comes out to tell us she is moving our checks to the bar because she is leaving thus leaving us on our own to go get our own drinks thereafter. To be frank, that was probably for the best because our server was in the weeds. I decided it was time to call it a night as did several of my friends and she brings us the checks. On my check was other people's beer. So that was yet another thing that had to be endured at this place.
As I said before, I have given this place several chances and the first couple were pretty good. But these last three trips have made me decide to never set foot in there again. I want to thank the manager for inviting me back but it was horrible. I hope it works out but I do not see this going on much longer. It was so dead tonight that the only thing missing was tumbleweeds and we still had slow, awful service. I am pretty sure that is a sign, and not a good one!
GREAT atmosphere, environment, & ambiance. VERY friendly staff. CLEAN & NO "inside" smoking but they have a nice outside area! they have a couple pool tables (didn't play so don't know condition). lots of TV's. good music playing in the background (not too loud - could talk easily). would've gotten 5 stars from me but the food was meh. good enuff, I suppose, for a sports bar. I had pizza which was okay-good but wife had a mahimahi salad & didn't like it. but there are more things to try on the menu so we WILL be going back, cause we really liked the vibe. oh, and ask the waitress about the swing behind the second bar ;-)
Review Source:We found this place because they had a cool fence with some outdoor seating, and cornhole. Cool lets drink some beers and play some games!
We walked in and the 4 regulars at the bar turned and looked at us and the record stopped. We waited at the bar a few minutes to get the scoop out getting into those games and no bartender, no waitress, no one working there. Finally a young woman came out from the ktichen who was the ONLY employee I saw there the whole time of our visit.
This is a brewery right? Let try some "brew!" ... well there was a sign on the wall that said "Brewster Brew $2.00" hmm, I've heard of specials like that. End of the keg brew? No other marketing pieces or flavors, or vats, or wheat hops fake looking stuff... and everyone around us had buds. I didn't even see where they would BREW this beer? I'm so confused.
While waiting for our order ... a regular at the bar said he wanted another draft beer. The waitress took the glass from him and refilled it. The rim of the glass touched the spout and then some of the beer ran OVER the glass and she sorta 'cleaned up' the glass/foam with her fingers which she then wiped on her leg. Interesting.......
We got to playing some golden tee and orders some appetizers and beers. Beers were $1.50 a bottle. Â The cheapest beers ever. The Appetizers were $5.99 and just terrible. The fries tasted have frozen and looked gross. In the hour we were there, no one else came in.
I would probably go back for 1. The games (darts, cornhole, golden tee) and 2. Beer specials in a bottle.
I don't like giving bad reviews. Especially to a restaurant that is obviously trying. Unfortunately, these guys just don't seem to be succeeding.
First of all, I have now been there 4 times and they have not had their beers ready any of them. I do give them credit for the fact that I complained and they did give me the beers they had that were almost ready, but still. They are a brew house that doesn't have beer? They said their philosophy is to make 4 beers at a time and since they have 4 microbrew machines, it means there is 2-3 weeks in between batches. So you have to hit it just right to get their brewed beer.
The place itself is nice - spacious and well laid out. The appetizers are decent to good and the food isn't bad. They do have a good selection of beers in stock and a decent selection on tap, but for me, a brewhouse without its own beers is....I don't know, but it ain't good. If this place was just a restaurant and not a brew house, they would rank at least 3 stars. As it is, 2 might be generous.
My wife and I were running errands in Riverside and decided to try it out. Very impressive atmosphere, cool architecture and good music. Plenty of TVs for football season! Food was awesome. You get that good ole country boy feeling in this place. Jack Daniels mini statue in foyer to show TN pride. Great views looking out skylights and front windows.
I had the half rack of ribs, it was a little overdone but a little extra sauce cured that problem. Great selection of beers on tap as well as 4 of their own brews in the back corner; and our server, Steve, was super friendly and helpful. Great customer service from the staff, and we definitely are looking forward to a return visit!!!
This place is actually very good. The place was a little hot that's all that kept it from getting 5 stars. The food is very good and the service was amazing. We had the pretzels for an appetizer and they actually left the butter and salt off which was great cause most places wouldn't do. They sent some on the side in case my wife wanted to add some.
I got a hamburger and my wife got the south western egg rolls and both were very good. I will be honest I really didn't have a good vibe about even trying this place because everything at this location has not been good. I was pleasantly surprised with a good meal and great service!
Let me preempt this with the caveat that their brew was not ready when I visited a couple of weeks ago so I can just discuss the food.
I actually was pleasantly surprised by the job they did with the inside of the place and the menu is pretty broad, albeit a little expensive. Â It's bar food for sure but the burger I had was pretty awesome. Â My husband said his fish and chips were just ok.
I will definitely go back to try the micro brews. Â They seem to not have their ducks in a row just yet but I hope they get there. Â It has real potential.
