I'm not sure if this place is still in operation - the last time I was there, it seemed as if the building was about ready to fall over. - this was 8 - 10 years ago.
I met my father and a friend of his for a day of fishing off the dam and afterwards we decided we needed to grab a beer and something to eat.
I'm fairly certain my father had been there a time or two because when we walked in the bartender remembered him from decades ago!
Dad instructed me to order a homemade breaded pork tenderloin - I did.
After we ordered, I watched our waitress walk back to the "kitchen" where she pulled an entire pork loin from a cooler, cut three portions off, pounded them, breaded them, and dropped them in the fryer.
A few minutes later she brought back what may have been the best tenderloin sandwich I have ever eaten (a close second being in Creston, IA).
I've always wanted to go back to this little hole in the wall, however, I have yet to make it.
If The Bridgeview is still open the next time I go home to see family, I will make it a point to drive the 2 hours from mom and dad's house just to enjoy this great example of a midwestern delicacy.
