Stopped by here for an early lunch before hitting the tables for one last go at it. Â There's a Brio in Southpark Charlotte, so I was looking forward to eating here since the one in Charlotte does such a good job.
Food was rocking. Â I had the Chipotle Chicken Panini, and buddy had the Grilled Fish Sandwich. Â Food was warm, fries were crisp, beer was cold. Â The Chipotle Chicken Panini reminded me of a type of chicken salad for the inside of the sandwich--chicken was diced hardcore and seasoned with chipotle sauce and other good stuff. Â Grilled Fish Sandwich was served on a burger bun (FYI). Â
Everything about this place looks awesome. Â Great patio area, awesome lounge area near the bar, and a wide-open clean bar area. Â No expenses spared in making this place nice. Â Just sitting here at lunch, sipping a brew and watching ESPN was the perfect way to get mentally ready to win some money! Â
Service was good. Â Forget the dude's name but he was attentive and courteous. Â Some other dude that was at the bar was not as nice. Â He didn't say anything rude, but just the way he talked... had an air of "knowing-it-all" when I asked him a question. Â He answered it wrong, but didn't point it out to him. Â (Uh, you can't say the Charlotte Brio has no connection to the Cherokee Brio, when it was the same people that set this one up!).
I'll definitely grab lunch here again.
dmo out.
This was the worst dining experience I had in quite some time. Our waitress had no personality and was not attentive to her customers. Our food was warm and tasted like it had been sitting for quite some time. Not once was my drink refilled and when I asked for more bread it never arrived. When I complained to the manager he completely blew me off. I was treated as though I didn't matter. Not my idea of customer service. Very disappointed as I really liked this place.

What a terrible experience.
Our Waitress was totally worthless.
The food was warm, not hot, and tasted like it had be sitting.
I got and order of calamari and it was like rubber.
The waitress was never around and our drinks were not refilled often.
We told the manager about our disappointment but he blew us off.
He said, "she had be ridden hard all night."
Is this a brothel? Where is the line to ride waitresses?
I guess when you know you have a captive customer base you can randomly suck and tell your customers to eff off.
There will always be other casino visitors to take money from.
Hey Brio... I will be at Ruth's Chris next time.
Don't expect my cash coming your way for a while.
My wife and I ate there for the first time on Weds. evening. Chopped salad, Salmon Salad and Pasta Pomodoro were all fantastic! Our server Vanessa did a great job. She was training a young lady named Kayla. Kayla did a great job also. We will be eating at the Brio many times in the future.
Review Source:You pay for the ambience. My husband and I went here on a Friday. There was no wait. We ordered salads and entrees. Sales came out within minutes on super cold plates and were good. For my entree I had the Penne Brio the penne was hard and there was about five pieces of chicken in the entree - You are not paying for the meal, but the ambience which was great. The waitstaff was okay, and the manager never made it to our table. I may go back for some fruity drinks and dessert.
Review Source:Amanda is the bomb! So be sure to ask for her. Ok so your in a casino and there are limited choices for food. But Brio stands on it's own. Bob and I ate here two nights in a row. The second night we sat at the bar and both times Amanda waited on us. She was great. We ordered a salad and pizza. So we kept it simple but thats what Brio does best. The first night we split a steak and a pasta dish. The pasta is a must. I love good pasta and this was just that. So if you are ever stuck in Cherokee NC at the Harrah's casino this should be your first destination.
Review Source:When you're in cherokee, you don't have a lot of options for an elegant dinner. Harrahs does offer a few restaurants that appealed to us, and we chose brio based on the aesthetic. It's far enough away from the crowd and has a romanticish feel.
We had a few cocktails which were refreshingly cheap compared to our home city miami. I had the berry sangria which has a Chardonnay. Â Very refreshing and good but does leave a mean hangover the next day! They give you bread which contains the best crackers!! Mm
We had the salmon Caesar salad and the filet. Both extremely tasty!!! The salmon was fresh and local. I couldn't get enough and would literally go all the way to harrahs again for this salad....
As for the four stars, i felt for where it is, it was stellar cuisine.  However it was obvious we were not in Kansas anymore by our server. I am not picky when it comes to service at restaurants, but wow... There was no way to have a romantic dinner with this girl. When we ordered our entees my boyfriend stated his item she literally said "the what now?" And walked around the table to look over his shoulder and copy the menu letter for letter on her yellow note pad. Later she asked if we needed anyhing else like dessert or another drink. I told her I will be having another drink after this one. She returns with a cocktail and is about to set it down when she says oh, cherokee law is only one drink at once. I had half my first cocktail left and just sat there awkwardly and then I just started chugging. after that, she granted me the cocktail and it was so weird that I broke the ice and asked her about living in cherokee. She told me oh I'm not from around here and left. Later, she brought us the check when I was still eating and  abruptly asked how we'd like to pay. We said room charge. She says "did you sign the slip at the front desk to be able to sign to your room?" I had no idea, I gave them my credit card though? Then she comes back and we can sign and returns later before I've even signed and tells me to sign it!! Fortunately, the food is good enough to deal with this, but anywhere besides cherokee just no...
Tip cherokee harrahs is quaint and romantic. Great getaway with your love!!
I was in town for the Cherokee Indian Fair and really wanted a decent glass of wine and some nibbles, which are impossible to find on an Indian reservation, and in rural NC in general. Harrah's Casino, however, has several quality restaurants. I ordered the steak bruschetta, which was amazing. The wine list is excellent, about $8 by the glass, and you can take an unfinished bottle home with you (or back to your room in the hotel). I can't comment on the rest of the menu because I just had wine an appetizers but I can say that those stood up to any big city eatery. The bar/lounge is very comfy, with plush chairs that give the feel of being in someone's living room. I gave it 4 out of 5 because it didn't seem right to give it 5 not having explored the full menu. The Italian cracker bread the bring out before you order is great--rosemary, sesame seeds high quality cheese--don't miss that one.
Review Source:Brio is a nice restaurant at Harrah's Cherokee in North Carolina, while on a get away between political conventions I visited Cherokee. Ate at Brio twice for dinner, never made it in the restaurant but ate at the bar.
Staff, great staff very knowledgable about their dishes and Lailani makes a good dirty Martini.
Ambiance, bar is cozy and nice lots of people talking.
Food:
Day 1: lobster bisque, very good, thick, flavorful. Main course was a special of the day pan seared trout with roasted artichokes, sundried tomatoes, and pin nuts, drizzled with a lemon caper butter sauce over a bed of spinach and crispy red potatoes. Phenomenal dish, light and fresh with bold flavors.
Day 2: on the recommendation of Lailani, I tried the bistecca salad ( iceberg wedge with bacon, Gorgonzola and tomatoes) and for my entree the beef filets with shrimp scampi with orzo with cherry tomatoes, asparagus, squash and yellow peppers. Very robust sauce on the steak and shrimp balanced out nicely with the orzo. Â Very good, I liked the fish the night before a lil bit more but very good.
If ever in Cherokee again will definitely eat here again. Lots of menu options.
This is a chain restaurant. Â Have never been and don't usually like to go chain, Â but this place surprised me. Â Everything we had was great and we went for 3 days straight since choices in this area limited. Â But I would actually go to Brio even in "civilization". Â
All pastas were good. Â Grilled shrimp and orzo was good as well.
This restaraunt is brand new, I believe it's only been open 2 weeks, so take this review with a grain of salt, eventually :)
The restaraunt decor is bright, airy, cheerful. Â When walking up to it, you'll notice the 'outdoor' patio feel to it, the large circular lounge surrounding the bar which is comfortable and made of marble. Â Many bartneders, so I sat down at the bar since I was alone and figured the food would come out faster. Â
I wasn't too hungry yet so I ordered the Bruschette Quattro, which was fantastic, and filling for one person. Â I later went back and had the Steak Salad, which was huge also, and probably one of the best salads I've ever had. Â The steak was medium rare, which I love, although it wasn't asked of me how I wanted it done so if ordering, you may want to make it a point to ask. Â
My only complaint, if it really could be one, is that the TVs are situated way off the bar area, actually from what I could tell no one could really view them comfortably, so I'm not sure why they even have them.
VERY new...we finally had a chance to drive in to Cherokee to try it. Having been a fan of this chain since trying it in Cincinnati...I also have eaten at the one in Atlanta.
I would note this as high end Italian (which is reflected in the prices)...but, nothing was over 30.00 a plate. Several specials were decently priced.
The food is great...with Bruschetta being our starter (and the fact they have a wide variety of styles of these)...we got the Quattro (4 ways). Quite good. Then had Caesars included with our meal. The Caesar tastes the way Caesar is suppose to...not too vinegary. Supper consisted of Filet, NY Strip and Swordfish special. Swordfish was very good...but, they forgot the spinach noted on the menu. Strip was cooked perfectly...but, Filet was a bit dry. Careful how you order this.
Overall, the meal was good...but, we were stuck waiting for our food. We never got bread until we asked for it, and then one manager lied to us, telling us the kitchen was behind, as a table beside us was being served...even though they came in 15 minutes later then us (we assume our order had not been put in). Dessert had the waiters forgetting to bring us silverware for almost 5 minutes.
Service had quite a few hiccups, but the Manager made things right, and there is no doubt that the food is quite yummy. They need time to adjust, but this is a great dining experience that compliments the new Ruth Chris at the Casino.
Here is hoping they continue to improve this wonderful restaurant.
