The Broadway Pub got a new menu a few months back, and I have to say, absolutely everything I've had off of it has been delicious. I highly recommend the melts - they are so tasty! The spinach and artichoke dip is also pretty awesome. The wait staff - usually pretty good. The bartending staff is great!
Atmosphere in here changes from day to night. I've been in for lunch, or to pick up a to go order, and there are scattered people sitting at the bar, chatting with the bartenders and watching TV. At night, it has been pretty busy for dinner. On the weekends, they get a good drinking crowd.
There are also specials every night! I follow them on Facebook, where they announce drink specials once in awhile.
I live right around the corner, so for me, this is a very convenient place to go. However, if you're driving through, stop in! The new menu has really won my heart over compared to the old one.
It's also a great place to just stop in to have a drink! And while another reviewer wrote that everyone knows each other... I don't think so... I just think that everybody likes talking to one another. When the crowd is small and all located at the bar, I've found they are really friendly.
Not exactly my cup of tea. I'm not from the Bangor area, and it's clear that everyone here knows each other and hangs out here nearly every day. Mostly a punk-type crowd. I came here during the heatwave thinking it might be a respite from the heat, but the AC was broken. It was over 90 degrees out... at night! I couldn't stand it very long.
