Great atmosphere. ....horrible food. Had the catfish, dry and rubbery.  Fries were ok. Son had a coke to drink, and it was flat. Nice people,  fun place to have a beer, but I'd eat somewhere else.

Walking down the dock, you hope it's a sweet place, and then... Yes! It's fantastic!

Very close to a lake paradise in the boonies. Fishing from the outdoor bar, polite young waitresses, pitchers of beer for decent prices (Blue Moon on tap!) Modern sports bar plus BBQ plus whole thing is floating. Crispy wings!

Minus a star because of an area by the group seating that is enclosed water... not clean water... Also, I had to keep a close reign on my Captain Chaos toddler, there weren't any gates to keep non-swimmer kids away from some deep water. If I had brought his life jacket, I could have eaten my wings in peace.

UPDATE: Went back for a Saturday night out, and unfortunately, I have to down grade my rating by a star. The waitresses and waiters became a huge gaggle sitting at the front entrance. Talking, hanging out, flirting with each other, and generally useless. Off-putting on entrance. Not sure how much money is wasted on them every night... The music was straight late 2000's Techno, DJ was older, kareokie was drunk middle age people.
The clients were teenagers, weird single middle age men, and ritzy tourists. Fairly awful. Also, I thought I heard early 20 something bro-talk, and talking to the bartender at the dive down the street where I wound up instead, college kids frequent the place. Yup. Frats.

Kind of Harley/sports-themed bar-restaurant place on Norris Lake. The food was REALLY good but our waitress had ZERO knowledge of the drinks available. She didn't even know what they had on draft or was too lazy to rattle off the list (like 5 beers). When we asked what was on draft she said "Whatever you want" and then we asked for 4 different beers before finally saying "How about Budweiser...do you have Budweiser?" No...they have Bud Light. NOT a good beer selection, even in bottles. They do their own BBQing right on the dock, and the ribs were great. My burger was awesome and the fried apps that we shared were very tasty too. Food is definitely a step above most of the floating food available on the lake. We saw Bubba and his big tattooed muscles working the smoker...I always like an involved owner. Game area for cornhole, pool, and the like. A little kid was having a birthday party while we were there. There's a small marina shop and then they sell bar-related souvenirs too. Careful-some of the shirts say "Morris Lake" instead of Norris Lake. Plenty of boat parking and there's lots of car parking too.

Gotta love Bubba and Nan!  They are there to greet you every time!  Each year we come back for lake season we are blown away by the new additions they have made over the winter.  They had a vision for this old marina and it has panned out perfectly for them I am guessing.  It is the place to be on Lake Norris!  great music, dancing, bag toss games, pool table out on the deck (odd but it works), 3 bars to get drinks although they are always well staffed so you never have to go to the bar unless thats your fancy.

I am not as much the writer as my wife, Shawna K. is so I recommend reading hers if you want to know even more.

For me it comes down to, Bubba's is fun, friendly, and lots of energy.

The Maynardville part of Norris Lake, used to be reserved for the locals, occasional Ohioans, and my family! We loved it!! No huge waves when you want to wakeboard, no crazy drivers that don't know how to drive a boat, and no over crowded waters. But also, no cool marinas. If you wanted to get a drink and grub, listen to some music and hang out at a fun marina, you had to drive almost an hour. Not really worth it!!

But all that changed with Bubba Brews!! They took over and remodeled the Pennington 33 Marina and what a fantastic job they did!! Each year during the winter they add on to it even more and make it better and better each time!! Only downside, it is more crowded now on our side of the lake and more TSA out, but Bubba's is a fun time to be had!!

They now have an indooor, air conditioned restaurant and bar, Two outdoor bars, cornhole, shuffle board, pool tables, chipping golf, darts, jukebox, and dancing!! They have live bands every Friday and Saturday and usually do a huge bbq buffet dinner!! They also do fireworks on 4th of July and have huge bashes for Memorial Day, Labor day, and Halloween! Plus, they are the only marina and restaurant on the lake and in all of Maynardville to have a full bar and can serve on Sundays!! Did you hear that?? FULL BAR & ON SUNDAYS!! Not sure how they pulled that off, but we are all thankful!

They also rent out houseboats and pontoons, water inflatables, have camping grounds to rent, have boat slips, winter boat storage, and sell all your boating needs.

Super friendly service and we have made friends with all the owners and employees. Great group of folks at Bubba's! It took them a little while to work out all their kinks and usually have to work out a few at the beginning of each season, so service can sometimes be a bit slow at the beginning.

Only two minor complaints to keep me from giving 5 stars.
    1. Boat parking!!! We have actually had to go home when we would rather have gone there because we couldn't find anywhere to park our boat. I have heard they do that on purpose... not sure why??
    2. Food. Not really the best food out there and relatively nothing healthy at all. All deep fried.

So, if you are lucky enough to be on Norris Lake this summer, Bubba Brews is sure to be a great time!
