I can barely begin to articulate the horrific events that we just experienced at this place. Let's just say, we spent an hour and a half there and the "night" ended with our group never getting served food and witnessing our waitress screaming/cursing at other customers in response to their frustration with the lack of service. This place will only go down the drain so long as the long haired brunette chick that looks like she is on crack continues working here. Never got to try the wings but $2 Bud Select specials seem nice..if you can talk your waitress into taking your order! I am being a little generous with an extra star due to the amount of TVs present...betting it's awesome during football season and you play fantasy :).
However, in the words of my roommate, "this place should be called f*ck it".
Went last night for the 50 cent wing special - not impressed. Â Ordered 10 wings to be split between two flavors, and after nearly a 30 minute wait they brought 20 of each. Â I ain't never waited so damn long for wings before in my life. Â We almost began gnawing on our arms. Â After my display of dissatisfaction, the waitress came by and said she would credit us for the extra 10, which was nice, but didn't make it any less annoying. Â We had the jerk flavor and the garlic parm. Â The garlic parm wings were a little dry and lacking flavor. Â Dagwood's is still the best place for this flavor. Â The jerk wings were a dry rub, which I rather enjoyed. Â The flavor was pretty good too, and if they were bigger, I'd go back just for these. Â We also ordered some tater tots and a cup of chili. Â We threw the chili on top of the tater tots for a taste bud victory. Â Still though, I probably won't return... Ever.
Review Source:I really wish I lived a lot closer to the "Super Wal-Mart of neighborhood bars" because it's friendly, they have great burger and wing specials (Mondays and Tuesdays respectively) and they offer Crowd Savings deals as well. This could be my new fav place to watch a game because of it's sound system, and tv quality. Could be promising..just hope they can work out their growing pains and get consistent reviews on service, because without that-they're doomed.
Review Source:Disappointing food and spotty service. Buckets has been open since late September, and they've assembled a crowd of regulars who prop up the bar each night. If you're part of the inner circle, then the servers and manager will visit with you and make sure that you're served quickly. Unfortunately the rest of us take our chances walking in here.
Buckets is located on Gunn Highway near the intersection of Casey Road, in the Sweetbay shopping center. The space has been the home of numerous other bar & grills, so these folks have to fight an uphill battle to be successful.
The decor is nice with a lot of big-screen TVs projecting all of the major sporting events, and the selection of beer includes Cigar City Brewing beers on tap.
I ordered some wings which are supposedly the house special. I found them to be greasy, and the flavor didn't rock my boat.
Mehhh, I've had better.
They opened just a week ago and I stopped in for lunch and had Honey BBQ wings. Â WIngs were nice and big and sauce was delicious. I was very impressed with the decor of this newly opened place. Â Large projection screens adorn the walls and they have several big and comfy booths. If I lived closer I would be here every Sunday for NFL games. I will be going back this weekend to try some additional menu items and maybe an adult beverage.
