What a great up and coming brewery! Two brothers. Five years brewing. Four beers.
1. Spokamber: Amber ale that would be appealing to most beer drinkers light but flavorful.
2. Orangutan: Pale ale with a lot of hops. It tastes a lot like an IPA but not as bitter.
3. Hop Train: IPA with tons of hops. Delicious.
4. Extra Stout: Stout with a little smoke to it. Not too heavy but flavorful.
Brad and Bruce will also walk you around the brewery and chat you up hardcore. Pints are $2.50 (!!!!daaaaaaaang!!). You can buy a growler for $5 and they'll fill it for $7-9 (depending on the ABV of the beer you buy)- DOUBLE DAAAAANG!.
They also do Party Pigs (which hold the equivalent to a case of beer) for $45-50 but to refill is only $25-30. But it's a pig. Of beer. Kinda awesome.
Thus far, they aren't in a ton of bars because they are trying to grow slow and steady (it wins the race) but go in and try it out. They are open Wednesday and Thursday 4-7, Friday and Saturday 2-8 and Sunday 2-6!
I would pour a little of my beer out for the Budge Bros and the good work they do... but why let a good beer go to waste?
This is a brewery to watch! They have just gotten started, but from what I tasted on Saturday they have a bright future. After talking to them and finding out that Fred Colby of Laughing Dog Brewing is one of their mentors I can see that they have taken his advice.
When my husband, who is a die hard Ruination from Stone Brewing fan, says that their IPA is pretty close to as good...I know we have found a winner.
Everyone from our Bikes and Brews Crew loved their beers and everyone will be back!
