  Been there twice.  This place is waaaaaayyyyy over-rated.  Place is a dump and the service sucked, and the drinks are way too over priced for a nowhere town.  If there were other better bars in town this place would dry up and blow away.

  The Buffalo Bar is kind of what one expects an old bar in downtown Silver City to be: slightly run down, a little dusty, and filled with some very interesting local characters.
  
  There is an actual buffalo head above the bar, points for that. They sell smokes at the bar, but you have to go outside to puff. Two pool tables, a juke box. This place is pretty spartan otherwise.
  
  Nice bartender, not much in the way of draft beers. Standard liquor selection.

  From the rather scruffy bison head above the bar, to the huge dance floor in the "new" section, this is a wonderful place to hear live music and DANCE.  The bar has expanded into the space next door that used to be a hardware store (*years* ago, when I was a kid living there), providing ample room to scoot your boots and shake your booty.
