My friends and I went the week it opened. We agreed it was way to cramped, and the service was less that acceptable.
Most recently a friend and I went for round two. I ordered one of their specialty burgers. After twenty minutes I received a burnt burger on a cold bun. I told the waitress there was no way I could eat this. She took it back and fifteen minutes later I got the same burnt burger again. I had her get the manager. He informed me "that's how the burger is made". I asked if he understood the difference between burned and charbroiled? He offered to have it made again. I declined and left hungry.
I promise you I will never eat there again. I don't recommend you eat there either.
For a sports bar and only that, fine. Anything else, find somewhere else to patronize.
Pros:
- Booze
- Sports on flat screens
Cons:
- SUPER loud
- Still smoking inside, which isn't BWW's fault but it still happens and sucks
- Service was not so great
- It's overall just kind of a grimy place with cheap stools/tables and a concrete type of floor and cheap/gross decor.
But then again, what did I expect? Honestly.
Oh boy...where to start. My family and I were visiting Mid-MO for Christmas and decided to stop in here for a late lunch. Â By late lunch I mean 3:00...you would think that during an off hour such as 3:00 service would be good. Â Wrong. Â It was terrible. First there was no host or hostess to seat us. I had to ask a server if we were supposed to seat ourselves after waiting a few minutes by the door. Â I had never been to BWW before so I wasn't sure of the seating procedure. Â A server finally sat us at a table near the bar area. Â One of the worst things about Mid-MO is you are still allowed to smoke in restaurants apparently. Sucks. Â Anyway, it was a good 5-10 minutes for a server to come and take our drink order. Â I guess this was "ok" since I have never been here before and needed time to review the menu. Â It took our server another 5-10 minutes to return with drinks. Â She vanished again before coming back to take our order. I am pretty sure we were in this establishment for over 20 minutes before our order was taken. Â
We started off with an appetizer sampler which included mozzarella sticks, nachos, boneless wings and onion rings. Â There was no marinara on for the cheese sticks and no ranch or blue cheese for the wings even though the menu explicitly listed these as being served with the sampler. Â Our server ran off as soon as she could throw the sampler on the table. Â Didn't give us any plates or anything - this is always annoying when trying to share an appetizer. Â When our order arrived it was wrong. Â My mother ordered her entree without jalapenos, my brother ordered his with extra jalapenos and my brothers "chicken tenders" came out as thin strips of grilled chicken that didn't look the slightest bit appetizing. Â We also asked our server for wing sauce for my brothers chicken strips and my dads burger. Â She didn't bring them out until we were done eating. Our drinks were often left empty which is another peeve of mine. Â
Overall the service sucked and the food wasn't all that. It was average but nothing to write home about in my book. Â I had the southwest flat bread sandwich with buffalo chips. I must say the buffalo chips were off da chain! My flat bread - well, not so much. Â I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting. Â It was a flat bread sandwich with diced chicken and other random veggies but it was totally smothered in Velveeta like queso which was disgusting. I guess I just figured that since BWW is a restaurant their queso would be a step up from what I can make in my crockpot - WRONG! Â The rest of the table agreed that their selections were only "ok." Everyone seemed to love the buffalo chips though. Â Will I go back to BWW? I will probably give them a shot back at home but I'm not sure that I'll visit this one next time I'm back in Mid-MO.
